Evening army went to Specsavers in Bray to pick up me new specs this afternoon and bought a nice pair of brown ankle boots in the town as well. Went to euro saver for scented tealights scented candle in a nice holder that changes colour and was tempted to buy a bar of milka choccie. Got the bus to local Tesco which for me is Ballybrack just groceries but Green and Black have reduced their chocolate to 2e so I bout a bar and then got tempted to buy a Tesco carrot cake on special too. My sweet tooth they say don't shop on an empty stomach but i'm tempted either way. Been having some cravings lately and low/grumpy moods now and then so chocolate is better than vino. Weddings would be a challenge for me too as it can be a long day so lucky none coming up. Nights out can be tricky but coming up with a plan before hand helps. Last time I was ok and just had 2 af beers which suprising didn't trigger any cravings for the real stuff or vino but this may not be ideal for some of you. I just wanted something different from fizzy water or suger free minerals.

Never tasted them-and may stop me eating 10 desserts .......

Thats funny you say that Glitzy, bit early for the deep discussion, but small window
- had a lovely meal last night, but god, surprised myself for a while about how much I wanted a glass of wine. No one was knocking them back, it was just the one or 2, so I couldn't take the high moral ground in my head.. annoyed and feel like I have negative seeds in my head now, at one point I was just thinking, there is no way this AF life is sustainable.

Anyway, back to the morning and feeling strong and happy and all those positive things again, but worried about my reaction last night. Have a more challenging night next Friday, will have to start prepping early!!

Better get the sprogs moving.

I totally get the annoyance when they don't get pissed -and we can't make it to the high moral ground
With regard to the drinking thinking - I will ask Jacks & Molls to comment - 'cos my lot ALWAYS get pissed so I was feeling holy most times in the early days.

Safe To Drink Non-Alcoholic Wine After Giving Up Drink?

For me the non-alcohol beer and wine is a big fat NO. Although when we are out I'm a fussy cow and like my water (fizzy or still) with no ice and a slice of lime in a wine glass not a tumbler. So I can actually can see a bit of conflict there............am I still pretending to drink/fit in with those around me or is it really the fact I hate big fat tumblers.........always have always will.

And who are we trying to please or make comfortable.......ourselves so we don't feel left out or to them because they feel they shouldn't be drinking either.

And apart from some very, very specialised de-alcoholised wine.............it tastes like crap.
