Evening army went to AA meeting at 1pm today and met a friend for coffee after. I got a new phone a sony 4g xperia on a special deal. My Samsung mini was not great had trouble with internet on it and wasn't easy to text on so just messing around with the sony one and getting used to it. I did try af wine only once at my sisters house and it was awful so wouldn't drink that crap again. Af beers I tried a few brands and some are ok some not. I can take them or leave them but I vdon't think its something I would drink regular. I don't go to pubs that often but yesterday in Bray I was a bit tired and had time to kill for a bus home so I went to a nice bar near the seafront and short walk from bus stop. I ordered a fizzy water with ice and lemon and it was 2.80. Just sitting down with my drink at a sea view table I picked up a menu. For a bottle of lager the same size it was 3.50 not much dearer that the water not I wanted an real beer but my point is prices. It seems it almost as expensive to drink the non al drink than the alcoholic one. with pubs they don't welcome too many non drinkers I wonder why waters and bottle of minerals are a rip off. Just me waffling on lol. As for this drink aware thing its a joke. got a bit of a headache sinius trouble again and may be adjusting still to new glasses tho I like my new ones. Well done Mary for not drinking it is tough socialising but like jc I would drink little in company but always had a couple before I went out and had to have more when I came home. total mad drinking that I don't miss despite the cravings that crop up now and then. sorry i'm waffling on tonight for some reason.Last edited by GlitzyB; October 2, 2015, 02:54 PM.

Thank you for all your wisdom again. Hoping this was just bastard cravings, the passing phase.

Hey Glitzy, I agree with you on the Alcohol Aware campaigns, hilarious – but sure look who’s running them!AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

You think after 3 years you've heard everything but that is so TRUE. We literally learn something new everyday :yay:
That is why I stick around.
Now lots of SILS - (sister in law syndrome) - at the wedding yesterday.

Seriously 5 hours.. with your mouth open?
Wonder how Satz is getting on, 10 pm, band probably giving it socks, hopefully shes found a fascinating sober person!
Sober dancing- still a challenge.:dancin:
Attempted jiving with a drunk Mr S - FFS- nearly tore me arm off.
Luckily he lost interest when the heavy stuff was played - I was able to maneuver him home.
