Good Lord ladies, look at the mess you've made of the living room!! Reminds of the days when my daughters had their slumber parties lol. Enjoy, enjoy! I'll just retreat to my mancave now...

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Well - good morning all. Guess everybody else has a life. LOL Just kidding - just wanted to say hello before I get busy.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day. If we can stay up tonight until son's girlfriend gets off work, we will carve our pumpkins.

              Yikes Pauly - that's terrible.
I love Halloween and was trying to figure out an "Unemployed" costume would look like.
Bret and I went to breakfast and then came home and went on a walk and he is changing my tire. I told ya'll that after being fired, I was driving home and my rear tire blew out, didnt' I?
I am back in the blankie tent, grenades and all. Ain't nobody messing with my family!!
I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Sorry to hear the sad news Pauly! Hows your Friday going? And dress up! We all deserve to be kids once in awhile!

mama, enjoy your time off, who knows when you'll get any more once you're back to work!

                Nora, almost 100! You're rocking n rolling!

And I just heard from Liz, she'll fill us all in on Sunday when she's back, but she says she's been "keeping it classy" lol

                Happy trails everyone!

I took my mom's elderly feline in for a lion cut today at the vet's office...and I think I'm allergic to cats! I have had some sort of sinus/allergy issues for about a year in a really awful way. I was already miserable this morning, but when the groomer began buzzing Mooch's dandery fur off, I couldn't breathe through my nose, period. My eyes got dry and my skin was itchy.

I hope this isn't the case, but I've been nothing but miserable for so long, now. I live with two cats now and I can't catch a break where my sinuses are concerned. I really thought that with the onset of cold weather, my "allergies" would dissipate...well, not if they're allergies to cats! I guess I'll go get tested for that.

I hope the rest of you are doing well.

Mama, I think "unemployed" looks like yoga pants with a sweatshirt and no bra...with a laptop for job searches.

fen, someday I'll get up the nerve to ask about your situation, Mrs Fen, sister wives, it's got me scratching my head a whole lot, and at my age, I can't afford to lose any more hair!

Pauly - I am sorry about your cousin. That is so young.

Fen - I hope that your allergies are not because of the cats. But, I think they probably are. I'm allergic to cats and I'm not as bad as you are but my sinuses are always bothering me. I thought it was the drinking but now I think it's the allergies.

Cowboy - thanks for letting us know about Liz. I hope you told her to meet us in the blankie fort.

Mama - glad that you and hubby spent some time together. You haven't seen much of each other lately.

I had an awful day today. Had a spat with my boss. But, I am home now. Relaxing. Picked up my son from the metro and we had a good talk - short, but good - regarding alcohol. Things that has happened to him while drinking, etc. He is not ready to say never again but he has given very serious thought to what it has done to his life. I think the AA meetings are good just so he can hear the reality.

Hope everyone has a great evening. I for one plan on sleeping in tomorrow. We'll see how that works out. LOL

Ok - so you know how we're going thru all this stuff (I know, I know - I'm a borderline hoarder). Anyway, came across this and thought everyone would appreciate what a dork I was and still am.

I've narrowed this down to around 1972 - age 13-14. The radio station had a long weekend playing the top 100 songs. There I was with my little casio tape recorder holding the microphone up to the speaker to record the songs I wanted. Later my Uncle came by and brought me a plug in connection so that was better. I didn't have to sit there very quietly holding my arm out. LOL

The songs typed up on my manual typewriter - remember when you had to reach up and hit the carriage return bar.
