Ha.. all of the above, sussing out who the drinkers were so Id look ok beside them. Although I never carried anything in my bag, few glasses before I went out definitely.

well how many were there?
I used to think I had a full glass of wine or maybe a sip gone -- I'd look at my glass and it'd be empty --- EVERY TIME!!!

The glasses used to shrink, they were always small in other peoples houses.

Play was very good. The stage was very 'modern' - all lighting effects strobe lightening etc.
- would prefer a normal setting-I think but it was a very good production.
Ryan Tubrity doesn't have kids Mary does he ?

Oh Joe drank too but was conscious (too much so maybe ) that he needed to stay in control - did it make a difference ? We'll THAT was when my drinking went underground and I did take every opportunity to drink when I could so I was drinking more actually than before it was just in secret mostly - I also almost drank to spite him HATED his controlling - nah nothing he did made any difference till it came from inside me

yep, thought that. I wonder if anyone said it to me would if have made a difference other than mortifying me, doubt it.

Play sounds good, strobe stuff is unnecessary though.

Got a question for yous...............if your daughter was getting married and came to a wedding fayre near where you live would you be
a) put out she didn't invite you
b)rather pissed off that the fact that she was in her home town and didn't let on til she was on the way back to where she lives
c) While on the phone she lets on she's had a dinner with her mates in town so had a few hours free and didn't pop in to see us.

Been sitting and simmering on this since last Sunday

My DD would for sure do all that with her friends too. It's a social occasion for them these days.
Look at the dress- few drinks
Look at the hotel - have a meal ....................

Friends play a HUGE role I'm afraid -especially as she is not living at home.
She will probably go to 100s of wedding fairs ........... an excuse to meet up with friends and free - if she's saving hard .

if its a sudden change of behaviour, yes i would wonder. and think what have i done for her to do that? possibly nothing but i would think that.

if she often comes to town and doesnt think to mention it, then it just didnt ocur to her. that you would like to be part of her wedding plans. shes never been mother of the bride after all and her head is full of bride stuff.

or, your taste is wildly different to hers, she trusts that her friend has similar taste and to let you know she was in town so you could meet up would mean you finding out about the wedding fair and that she didnt invite you so best not to mention it though it would probably come out eventually but its her wedding when it comes to it so she should be able to do what she wants without feeling she should involve everyone as thats where it can get complicated thinking about everyone makes her wants and wishes become less important and the day is no longer hers.
