To my friends...

I wake up some mornings
and feel ok
I wake up some mornings
feel the chaos of the day
Watch the news
and feel the pain
of some that have gone away
whether to fight a dumb war
or lost in a storm they never saw
but some come together
to share their feelings
share the strength deep within them
so we can look up in awe
and thank them for their love
and the kindness they have in store
for our feelings were raw
and you are the angels
and God knows the score.
