    Nosugar has 1000 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing Grace is an apt description of this lady! It is with great pleasure and pride that we congratulate NS on this phenomenal achievement! She lives by the credo that in helping others, we help ourselves. Thank you for your unwavering support on these boards. MWO is a better (and more organized!) place because of YOU! Well done indeed!!!!!

          NS- wow, 1000 days?!!
I too want to thank you for all your kind and insightful posts.
Especially those that have helped encourage me on my sugar free journey and nutritional awareness crusade. Haha, sometimes all this does seem a bit of a crusade... All worth it though!

            Congratulations NS on 1000!!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

                  NS,

You impart so much wisdom to everyone here. So glad you keep coming back to share your experiences and time with all of us. You have always had such a kind nonjudgmental attitude as you share the way that works for you, and are an great example of how quality a life a person can have without alcohol as many struggle with that concept of never having a drink again and get stuck on that fence. You help to show us how beautiful that other side really is. Thank YOU for all you do.

Thank you so much for starting this thread for me, Byrdie . And thank you for being here 1000 days ago when I took a scary leap of faith into the online world. You believed in me well before I did and gave me the courage and strength to stick with it. I'm so grateful to have you in my life.

I appreciate the kind words from all of you. I'm thrilled if my ideas about this grand adventure we're all on help someone else. I want everyone to experience the joy and relief that comes from breaking an addiction and truly believe that everyone who wants to can do it - as soon as they're willing to remove drinking as an option under any and all circumstances and to make the effort to change their brains (and hence their overall biochemistry) so that it's no longer even an appealing option (Now that is freedom !).

I think I'd better stick around because for me, writing about what is so great about quitting, and encouraging others to do it, keeps my rewired brain in its new configuration. From all I've learned, it seems that once addicted, the addicted brain becomes the default - we have to make the effort to keep it in it's healthier, functioning state. Hanging out with people I care about here is a pretty fun way to do that.

Let's all stay exactly where we are in terms of days AF apart from one another -- and then we'll have many 1000, 2000, and 10000 day celebrations around here! Thanks for the healthy  cakes, Army buds!

                            xx, NS
