I know we talked about support from our spouses yesterday, well theres very little here, he is not anti me quiting, just indifferent and happy to go along with any decision i make as long as hes not affected. This makes me incredibly stubborn, which in part got me over the worst of it, and I hope still carries me beyond. Im under no illusion, the next few months will be the most challenging.
It was the stubbornness I think that carried me through - still does Mary
WELL DONE - 100 days :yay:

Morning Army! I smelled the cheese scones and popped over to help myself. Thanks, JC! Goes great with Mick's morning brew.

Well done on 100 days, Mary!

Hi Satz! Hi Molly! Posted on the abbers thread about a great book I'm reading that had me thinking about y'all because it's set in the UK. I'm good here. Good and sober. Honestly never thought I'd get to this place of being comfortable with no alcohol in my life. Best wishes to you with your son, Satz.

                Thanks Pie
Yes I never believed it either - it's a bloomin' miracle.

Pie : by the way we are in Ireland : me , Molls, Mary, Glitzy, Tabbs.
                Jackser & Roxy are Brits

Thanks for that lovely map, Satz. My birth mother was from Ireland. She came to the US to live with her married sister, then turned up pregnant at the age of 28. Said she had no idea who the father was, as she'd been seeing several men. :eek-new:

Thank you for all the welcomes. It is so good to know that there is a safe place still here.

Cannot wait to have the feeling that alcohol no longer plays any part in my life

Pie, what is the book you speak of?

Hi Starty, Book is In a Dark, Dark Wood, by Ruth Ware. Nearly can't put it down. If you read and liked Girl on a Train, give this one a go.

Must have a look for that book - really enjoyed girl on the train. Reading After the Crash at the moment, but its not the page turner I was hoping for! I probably need to go to bed earlier, not 5 secods before my eyes close.

Back from the marathon, jumped in with 10k to go, for a bit of moral support for my bro. All fresh faced and energised as I was cheered on.. Thats the way to celebrate 100 days sober! :hahaha:

No no, I kind of had it in my head, so came in my running gear. But the crowd support is fantastic, of course I took it personally that they were cheering me and my 1oo days. they were all very delighted with me

If you hear an almighty bang and see a rather large man going skyward................its just Mr JC trying to light the pilot light on the heating.
It could be worse, I could be filing.
