Yes - I got the job....more money, and an office at home and no travel...but I told them I would be happy to travel.
My boss will be a man...YAY...his name is Mike and his partner is Mark and they are based out of Austin, Texas. A dear friend of mine used to work with him and she said he is the coolest and nicest man on the planet. And funny as hell. So, hopefully this will be a perfect fit. I don't trust my instincts right now, but I have talked to a lot of people and hubs, so I am gonna go with it.

Hey folks .... been a lazy day today. I did not sleep well at all. Mom got up several times last night plus just being in a different place. So, I took a nap today.

You all made me laugh with the beer & wine in the purse. It must have been hilarious because I think that it happened as I was walking. So, whoever was behind me probably wondered what the heck that crazy lady was doing. ROTFL
Thanks for all the support. :hug: I'm glad that I reached out. That is something that I am forcing myself to do. Reach out and ask for help if I need it. Even though I might not have posted much yesterday, I was on here so many times reading your replies and gathering strength.

Pauly - the pic of Winslow is great. What a cute costume. Do you know how to post pics on here? I'm sure everyone would love to see it.

Fen - are you hiking this weekend or is that over? I just lit a fire in the fireplace. I used a duralog that I had mailed up here as a Christmas joke gift 15 years ago. I'll have to get some wood this weekend. Dad always had wood ready for me when I would come. I love having a fireplace.

Caught up on a lot of stuff today and I am feeling accomplished. Just got back from seeing the new James Bond movie. Really enjoyed it! Yesterday was my older sisters 60th birthday, so Mom and Dad are taking us all out for lunch tomorrow. Yay!

Nora, technically hiking is never "over" for me, unless the snow is too deep to hike through. I haven't been hiking, however. Most of the good hiking is located in the direction of the cabin and it still just kills me to even just drive near it. There is a county park close to town, but it's a boring-ass hike. Maybe I should see what parks are north of here.

Liz, I hope you and your family have a great time today! Sounds like fun.

Nora, sorry you didn't get a lot of zzzzs. It's rough when they get up a lot.

Doing ok today. Lots of rain and I'm not used to that. I just went and bought some firewood. So, I'm all set. Mom sleeps most of the time now in her chair. She seems more confused than 6 months ago.

Fen - I'm sorry that you can't find a good hiking place. I know how much you love it.

Liz - hope you have a good lunch.

Pauly - sorry about Kel. Hope she finds something right away.

I'm here too. Busy day, busy weekend! Had a whole list of things I wanted to accomplish this weekend and yay me, did them all. I'm sure if I had been drinking most of it wouldn't have gotten done. Lots of fun with the family at lunch today! I so appreciate the times we spend together, now more than ever! I am so blessed:love:

Nora, sounds kind of gloomy with the rain, but I'm sure that fire place more than makes up for it. How old is your mom? She must be so happy to have you there.

Busy weekend. Golf both days. Not playing as well lately and have a big tourney this weekend. Still had fun, well, more yest than Sat as played with a woman who never shut up. I need to be more direct and announce right away that I prefer to be quiet, nothing against them, but I am not a morning person, and If you come to lunch I'd love to hear more about you but right now I want to concentrate on the golf. It was also difficult in that she was extremely obese, think of sitting in airplane next to person spillimg over into your seat. I got an upper body workout just driving the cart. Very good golfer, however.

Tonight is a grand opening party complete with Happy Hour pricing. To be honest, I find gatherings easier than nights at home. Pauly, you are right. I should go for a bike ride at 5:00, replace sitting & drinking with a positive. Today is Day 5. All in all, going pretty well, could not sleep last night so gave into it & watched tv til 11p.

Lizann you sound so happy! Nora, miss fireplaces now that I live in FL. MamaBear, sounds like an ideal job....good for you! Hey, Cowboy, dh finally ran out of Timbits. He bought 50 for the trip home. It used to be we could never remember if that was the name of the grandsons' hockey team or the donut.
Miss Dottie as we all kind of live vicariously through her...LOL. And what about K9? Hope she is alright.
Ok, time to go out for a run/walk & then get on with the day. Here's to a good start to the week!

ToMyHealth-WELCOME! When I got serious about being sober, I switched my morning workout to what used to be my happy hour time. By the time I got out of the gym, not only did I not feel like drinking, I didn't feel like eating either.

Mama-do you think that since this new job is more money that you could prevent the foreclosure? I am looking forward to hearing more about your new job. Congrats again, girlfriend.
