I agree Fen but she can't jeopardize this new job, they just moved into a new apartment on the first and she absolutely has to be working, remember she was fired from the last salon for panic attacks (which I think is wrong!) I think a benzo just to get back on her feet is ok for a bit
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

I am home after an hour drive. I shouldn't complain coz Rusty drives so much.
Benzos are good if not abused and Xanax will help with the anxiety,Pauly...I cannot believe she got fired for that...most places would offer to help.
I am sore, but I wrapped myself in an ace bandage and took my ibuprofen.
Fenny - J has no I hate Fenny file...she is probably mad about the wine bottle.
I have to work for an hour or so and then take meds and re-wrap and got to bed. I did not sleep well last night and was up at 5 am!!
I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Busy day and I am tired. Super busy at work. I guess everyone one is trying to get in before the end of the year as deductibles have been met, going in tomorrow on my day off. Flying solo on Friday .
Just a quick check in to let you know I'm fine. Hope you're all doing ok too.

Pauly - I hope that Kell feels better. I do hope that she'll go and talk to the Doctor again. I wonder if she would try a different anti-depressant if it would help. I do have a prescription for lorazepam but I very rarely take it. I'm scared that I'll get addicted to something else. I agree about her last job not letting her take a couple days off. That is rotten. How are you doing?

Mama - big hugs & kisses. I hope that you feel better soon. Someone I work with broke about 3 ribs and from seeing her, I can imagine how much pain you are in.

Fen - any word on the job? Why do you think that Mrs Fen was upset about the desk? That doesn't make sense. She probably was upset about the bottle and why in the world was she hiding an empty bottle? Maybe she has an alcohol problem herself??

Rusty - how you doing? Where are you now? Where's Rusty? LOL

Liz - How's the hand today? Did you get the freezer mess cleaned up? Been there, done that.

Cowboy - I think the ER tent in addition to the blankie fort is a good idea. :harhar:

Oh - and I flagged the spammer too.

Things going ok here. I'm down but what can you expect. I just keep looking at the positive aspect and tell myself it could have been so much worse.

Mom is doing well. Sleeps quite a bit. She is 88 years old with Alzheimer's disease so I guess we'll let her. Scott is sick with a cold but he did well taking care of Mom. He said that they played with Abbie (our chihuahua) today and Mom was laughing. She ate more than half a sandwich at lunch. And, she's eating a good dinner. She has small portions of course but at least she is eating. It was so funny, she was dozing when I got home from work. She would wake up & talk a little then go back to sleep. I asked her if she was ready for dinner. She said no and went back to sleep. Hubby & I ate our dinner. Mom woke up and picked up some cheetos to eat that I had by her chair. I said No - let me fix dinner. LOL Like a little kid - not hungry but will eat the junk food.

She gets up a few times during the night. I have been sleeping very lightly for the past week and check on her to make sure she's ok when she gets up. But, last night, I must have been sound asleep. She got up and went to the bathroom and then got confused on where she was. So, we got that all worked out.

Well - that's my news. We're getting ready to watch some 30 Rock and have some popcorn. Mom is very hard of hearing so she can't hear TV. But, she just reads her Kindle or does a crossword while hubby & I watch TV.

I'm so glad your mom is still able to get interested in reading and crossword puzzles, Nora. I really think those things help stave off the effects of the disease, along with the medication. I wondered if she would have some confusion in the night...maybe some night lights in the hallway? It sounds like things are going well. What are some of her fave foods? Besides cheetos? : )

I hope you feel better soon.

Yep - Mom has always done crosswords. She can't really do much on them anymore. And she does have trouble remembering what she's reading and has to restart the book. But, at least she is doing something.
Last night & tonight, I heated up a plate of chicken, rice & potatoes with some fruit. She ate well both nights. Casey's GF is a doll and the best cook. So, she brought some food over because she knows that Mom doesn't eat well.

Hey all,Nora, just be happy that even though your mom has Alzheimer's at least she still communicates,I have a married couple that I have been cutting for years and at first I thought the wife was just a bitch cuz she didn't say much and when she did it was snippy, turns out she was I guess"coming down" with it,it was mild, now she's basically catatonic, her poor hubs watches her 24/7 he won't put her in a home cuz he can't afford the best of the best, they still come in but I think I'm gonna start going to their house, they live pretty close,so just enjoy as much time with her as possible, I know you do alreadyMama, hhope you got some sleep, I can't tell if I slept or not, one of those nights ya know? Hello Fen,Liz,Rusty,Dots, let's all kick Thursdays ass

                            Hi Everyone,

I am in Idaho Falls but I leave this afternoon for home. Off tomorrow! :-) I am posting from my phone because the hotel internet is down.

Nora, I think you are doing an amazing job taking care of your Mom.

Pauly- I had a night like you did last night. Not sure how much I slept. The time change has me messed up.

Love to everyone else. I have to get to work.

                                Hello Steppers!

Wow - quiet here today. Is everybody busy? I know I am.

Pauly - you are a doll to go to their house to cut her hair. That would help the husband so much. :huggies:

Rusty - have a safe trip and talk to you from home (or the plane).

Hope that everyone is having a super day. Hubby went to the dr today for his cold. Don't know yet if they gave him a prescription or not. But, he is sick. We are hoping that Mom doesn't get it. She certainly doesn't need that.
