Pauly, feel better. Maybe you'll be able to sleep better tonight. I hope your day wasn't too bad.
Unwinding after a hectic day. The grocery store was insane and someone took off with my cart. I found it four isles later. I got out as quick as I could. My mom made meatballs for us:welldone:, so I didn't have to cook. Anyway, hubby has a meeting tonight so I'm going to go to bed early.

Fen, I remember that song oh so well, one of my favourites for sure! I had to youtube it after I read your post and the words are just as awesome now as they were so many years ago! Thank you for reminding me
Hope all the Steppers are enjoying a peaceful evening at home....Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

Good Morning, Everyone!
Mama-I know how frustrating computer issues can be and the IT guy is incommunicado. I had the same problem yesterday! UGGGHHHHHHH!!!! He will get an earful from me when I talk to him today.
Cowboy-thanks for popping in.
Fenny-I was raised Catholic and still practice it (although I don't go to Mass EVERY Sunday) and truthfully, I love the words of my song but I hated the church I went to where we sang it. I have very depressing memories of that church. I see you have been popping into other threads like the GLOAMERs. You do sound so happy and positive, as you said, due to your months-long record of being AF. I used to dismiss the fact that alcohol is a DEPRESSANT. Duh...that should have told me something, right? Boy, was I dumb. So glad you are here with us.
Nora-who stays with your mom while you are at work? Do you worry about her while you are working?
Liz-that is wonderful news about Mark's job!!!! Does BD stand for Business Development? Sorry if you mentioned it somewhere in a post and I missed it. SMART SMART SMART move on NOT taking the Ford job! A really bright engineer who worked for my biggest consulting client decided he wanted more money and left his position to work at Ford. I KNOW he will really be sorry. The extra $$$ is so not worth it.
Liz-to answer your question..my friend and I got my new 7.5 ft. tree up but it's not decorated yet. The second tree...wouldn't you know...the lights work on the BOTTOM part and the TOP part but not in the middle. I don't know whether to laugh or swear like a sailor. Hahaha.
I gotta get on the phone with AppleCare now so I hope everyone has a great day. I finished my work early yesterday so I am home for the day. I'll be back later and Happy Tuesday!!

Hello loves. I finally took the time to read back.

Good for you Pauly, I'll respect your wishes! But I'll be around to give you a pat on the back and a hug from time to time!
Have a great one Steppers! Where are Nora and Liz? Do I need to go hunt them down? I know where Dottie is, in front of her TV watching the DWTS season finale tonight, just where I'll be lol.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. Forgot to mention...Pauly...I think it's great that you are trying a new method, Rational Recovery, to help you maintain your sobriety. Maybe counting the days and fearful of relapsing lead to your drinking because you would get so anxious when you hit a certain day amount. Also, I like the idea of not congratulating you on something that is good common sense. I give you SO much credit for working so hard at your sobriety and trying any way you can to protect your quit. GREAT JOB! HUGS!

Howdy Steppers, Pauly, I just talked with Nora, flu or cold bug is going through her house, sounds like everyone has/had it! Asked me to let everyone know. She'll try and stop by today.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
