Another bonus. It is bin day today and my recycling bin has not given me a hernia to move it. Nor will I be embarrassed when the bin men tip it up and there is no glass avalanche crashing into the truck

And another memory........we used to have to go the recycling centre as our bin got too full...........I can remember scrabbling down the drive trying to get a few bottles I'd hidden into the recycling...........then being mortified the buggers didn't come...........so had to scrabble back down and fish them out again. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Just the evening bit. We were great drinking buddies and at the beginning he was a bit lost but he knew I had to do this. He did 30 days with me..........now its Friday nights with the lads only.
When he had his hip replaced a couple of years ago he didn't drink for 12 or so weeks and didn't bat an eyelid. It could be worse, I could be filing.

You post whatever and whenever you need to Mollydear, some people should remember this is a support forum before they pass comment.Last edited by Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB); November 6, 2015, 04:25 AM.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Not recently mind you, but when I REALLY didn't need to hear this some 4 years ago. These comments chased me off the site for some time, prolonging my drinking and coming to my senses.
I am mentioning this because somehow you can't let this happen.
Maybe having an ill child is nothing to someone lacking empathy. Then again I think some people are just mean spirited and angry. Anger can be a terrible monster. I seemed to have solved this by not reading or positing in areas I found 'dangerous to my quit.'
If I see folks posting things I find, to put it bluntly, disturbing to my balance, I stay away.
I also block folks I find who have negative energy, even if they haven't messaged me before. Self preservation. These negative comments do affect people.
My two cents.
And I think if we need to complain, we should be free to do so. It crossed my mind recently that I should not post how I am feeling these days too. So, I post with caution which really is not the spirit of things here I think?
When I posted how frustrated I was with our housing situation in the past there was indeed a 'poor you' comment or two that came my way. Mean spirited I find with no real benefit, so why post such things?
Anyway. I say post away!!(AF since 17 May 2014) 2 years 5 months sober

Good morning all and well said Eloise,
Im still a newbie here, but there's none of that rubbish on these threads as far as Im aware, so feel free to let loose here, feck the begrudges.
Seriously, whats the point in a forum like this if you cant rant and rave when you need to - you cant catch a persons misfortunes over the internet, but helping someone feel better is infectious.

I wouldn't believe it if I had not have experienced it IamMary. And one does not have to look far to find it.
I do not see the point in it either. I think not engaging it is a possible solution, kind of like not eating sugar instead of being angry that it exists. Silly analogy.(AF since 17 May 2014) 2 years 5 months sober

We know who this poster is and she was exposed recently on the Steppers thread. But she is still active.
She had a profound effect on our Molls who is always upfront & totally honest in all her dealings with people.
But this person decided to be a 'coward' and PM her and that was the final nail in the coffin at that time.
Pure jealousy in my opinion.
 Molls
