WOW...It's December already.
Feel better Dots- I drank Nyquil and passed out last night. Today I remembered my allergy pill and Flonase.
The potential client I met with yesterday wants to meet with my boss, so that's a good sign right?
I haven't even started decorating yet....sighI love my family more than alcohol.:h
Live in the Solution....not the problem

Hope everyone is having a nice nightI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

Hello all - finally able to get on here for a minute. I ended up staying home again today. Better but just not over it yet. Finally got the futon for the futon couch we bought. So, at least we have a bed for hubby. Mom has been sleeping with me because she gets confused on where she is. Hubby has been sleeping on the couch. Son's room is so piled up with all of his stuff that hubby didn't even want to attempt to sleep in there. :harhar:
Pauly - glad you are feeling ok. I'm the same way with all the dry skin. Just can't stay moisturized. I still haven't tried coconut oil.
Mama - that does sound like a good sign that the potential client wants to meet your boss. How are things going with work and with home?
Rusty - I wondered where you were. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Dots - sounds like you've got what's going around alright. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Liz - are you still swamped at work? Do you work in a hospital or a doctor's office? I forget.
Cowboy - Thanks for all the encouragement.
Fen - I am sending you lots & lots of positive energy. I can only imagine how hard all of this is for you. But, please know that you are loved. You are a very special person and special things are in your future.
To everyone that reads here - I just want to say hello and thank you. I go and read other threads and don't always say anything. But, your posts help me. So thank you."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Pauly, I have a couple of guns...so technically, I could go "postal", LOL!
Nora, the memory part is tricky...you have to look at a series of numerals and street names and memorize which route they are on..route "A", "B", "C" or "D"...bear in mind that some of the same streets are on different routes, based on the numeral part of the address. You're supposed to eyeball it for five minutes, commit it to memory and answer the questions. There must be a way to make a mnemonic clue to succeed in this area. I'm going to do some more practice runs. Honestly, I don't even think Mrs. Fen could do it and she's a genius, so I won't flog myself too much. And if anybody has any tips, I am wide open!
Anyway, the funeral is finally over. Mom's cuz was very active in the church and the priest was a real chatty Kathy who waxed on and on about her qualities. She must have been a lovely woman.
I love my mom, but this bugs me...this cousin lived twenty minutes away from my mom and my mom never visited or chatted with her on the phone. I never even met this cousin, although I did meet her folks, as my grandpa and her dad were brothers. Anyway, if my mom and this cousin were so close, why did my mom wait until the funeral to get interested? She's like "Maude" from "Harold and Maude"...the woman lives for funerals!
Anyway, I met even more of my Irish second and third cousins. One of them pulled me aside and asked how old mom was...for the record, mom is 87 but looks like she's 100 because she smoked for 45 years and her face is extremely wrinkled as a result- plus, she's on supplemental O2 24/7. I told her, and she said to me "Just pray she dies in her sleep one night- that's no way to live!" I didn't quite know how to reply to that one. I am not sure if that's a personal quirk of this new found relation, or if it's just an Irish thing, LOL! My mom was only a few feet away, but she's too vain and stubborn to wear her hearing aids, so she didn't have a clue.
Liz, where do you walk? Nice to get out and get a break like that.Last edited by fennel; December 2, 2015, 04:20 PM.
