Fen good luck with the test! I don't think I could do it now, maybe back in the day. That was an odd thing for your cuz to say. You don't seem upset and for that I'm glad. I walk in the parking garage when the weather isn't good. Lots of nice places to walk around work when the weather is good.

Nora, I work in a hospital and yes it's still busy. My coworker is off the next two weeks and I'm flying solo. So if I'm not around much I'll be working my little butt off.

Took Mark shopping tonight. There's a huge Swiss watch sale at the movado headquarters. So we got him a big boy watch for his new big boy job! He was offered four jobs out of four interviews!

Pauly - I did that at my parents house once. My dad had just got out of the hospital and could hardly move. He jumped up and ran over to open that flue. So I understand.

Good Morning Friends,

Yesterday was a looonnnnngggg day...I started work at 5:30 AM. On the way home this morning, I was driving on the interstate when my front right wheel flew off! I can't believe I was so calm, but I just put on the brakes gently and guided my car (through two lanes of traffic) to the side of the road...then waited for the tow truck. The guy at the service station said the last guy who worked on my car did not tighten the lug nuts on that wheel!! GRRR!! My mechanic better pay that bill. But, I was sober and I am fine. :-)

Liz-wow, Mark got four interviews and four offers!! Fantastic and admirable for sure!! Your co-worker is out AGAIN??? So sorry to hear.

Fenny-funerals bring the worst out in people...they really do for some reason. So sorry you had to be the recipient of your relative's totally inappropriate words.

Big hellos to everyone else. I am taking my Mom on all her errands today since I am off and my sister is on vacation in SC. I am happy to do it. Booze just zaps the motivation to do anything right out of me, and I am happy to help my mom with a cheerful heart! I am a very grateful, sober person. :-)

Hey all,Rusty,I'm glad nothing serious happened!your tire falling off could have been really bad,I love when you said booze zaps motivation to do anything, how true and that's my thought when those brain boogers start up,how different we are and life is without the crap,I look back at my old posts and its like night and day between sober me and drunk me,I've noticed it in Nora's before and after posts too,we're such strong, positive women not drinking,yay! hope everyone has a great Thursday

Good morning! Rusty, I'm glad you're ok! Yes I do believe the mechanic should pay for that. I'm surprised they admitted to that! And yes booze does zap all motivation. I don't know why I thought that only happened to me. So it's not just me with annia? She texted me earlier this week to see if I could switch my days off. Ordinarily I would have but hubs and I have an appointment with the lawyer today to draw up a new will and such. I saw her checking the scheduling book to see how many nurses were on. So it was planned but whatever. Sometimes I think I take this job to seriously and I can't be on call 24/7. I need to let it go. They can carry on without me right?
Rusty thanks for the advice on the FORD job with Mark. I did tell him what you said. They came back with the highest offer, but he took the job closest to home.
