That is priceless Fen!! hahaha Thanks for making my day!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

      Hah Fen!! Good one!
We went to Christmas party for date night and had a lot of fun. We stayed out way too late so Hubs and I snuggled all day and got involved in a really good new show on Netflix! I played checkers last night....nanny boo boo!
I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Good morning! Hope we all had a good weekend. I know Mama did! Me too!
Does anyone know how Dottie is doing? Haven't heard anything lately. Hope all is ok.
Fen, can you find a hiking group? My hubby signed up for a class at a local community school. He runs with them every Saturday morning. Maybe you can find something like that for hiking? It's a great way to meet new people too. What about like craft fairs, flea markets, garage sales. Would something like that interest you. My sister does quilting. Just some thoughts.
Anyway, tons to do today. Food shopping, laundry and running. Hubs went fishing. Perhaps he will bring home some dinner?
              Have a good Monday!

Morning, my peeps. Still grey here.

Mama, at least someone here is getting some checkers!

Liz, we do have "meet up" groups here that feature hikes. I'm actually pretty shy and when the actual day arrives, my social anxiety kicks in. I guess when I get desperate enough, I'll do it. I did go to a Holiday craft fair on Saturday...but there were so many people, I didn't really enjoy it. I know that like any activity, the more you "make" yourself do it, the easier it gets. So my assignment for next weekend will be getting out there again.

Cowboy, thanks for the suggestions re: volunteering. I will have to put on my thinking cap for that one.

Nora, Pauly, Rusty, Cowboy, SK, Dotts, red...I am thinking of you all.

Liz, I hope hubs catches something...what fish do you like? My dad was a trout fisherman and I LOVED when he brought them home.

                        Happy Monday loves.
                        Nora! You naughty girl!!
Fen - maybe you could volunteer to help at an addiction center??? I found when I talked to people after my DUI , I really got a lot out of it. And I realized, there are a lot of messed up people out there that desperately need professional help.
I am in my office googling developers and researching construction permits...this is a whole new ball of wax for me! I just left a message with one of the largest developers in town......no gut, no glory, I reckon.
Have a nice day, Lizz. It sounds busy.
I am going to blast a 20 year old out of bed and make him start dragging down Christmas stuff.
I love you all...skwerls and all

Sorry, fen, now that you mention the anxiety thing I do remember you mentioning that in the past. I totally get that. I'm pretty shy and don't do well in social situations at all.
Fen, only hubby eats fish. He loves his fresh fish though and I don't mind making it for him. They went ocean fishing today.
Mama, are you working from home?
Nora, Pauly, rusty, Dottie, how goes it today?
I'm working a lot the next two weeks, so if I'm not around don't worry about me. I was lucky to be able to have today off. I think my Christmas shopping is done, decorations up, gifts mostly wrapped, menu planning for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day well under way. Now to concentrate on work.
                          Have a good night guys.

Did hubs catch anything, Liz? I wish I lived near the ocean!

Feeling blah. I have that post office exam on thursday morning. One of my sponsors is retired from the P.O. and says it sucks there, lol. I don't really care if I pass the exam or not.

Although I don't have to engage in the Christmas madness of STBX Mrs. Fen's family any longer, I find myself to be quite unexcited about it, which is probably normal considering my current situation. I will most likely take my mom to all of my country cousin's celebration on Christmas day, but mom likes to have a separate celebration for our immediate family. In addition to prepping for J's family's bacchanalia, I was always in charge of trying to find a date and time for my family's Christmas, and trying to get my baby sister to commit to a day is like herding cats. Plus, even though we don't provide alcohol, my brother and his family bring their own. My nephew is the only one who gets truly hammered, but he's a nightmare when he is. I told mom that I'll tell baby sister to get in touch with my brother and have them decide on a date, since mom and I are wide open. Why on earth should I have to deal with everything, right?
