Morning army lashing rain here but mild. Blowing my nose and sniffling here too took a headache pill earlier and got back in to bed as i was awake since 4am. I love the Frank Sinatra song thanks. Just listening to a few here on utube. I love to hear the xmas carols but what i can't stand some of the 7o's crap that gets belted out every year like Slade's Merry christmas everybody's having fun and there is a Showaddywaddy one a band whos songs must be some of the worsts ever and a few others bah humbug lol. Whams last christmas is another cheesy shite. Anyone have a Christmas song thats cringeworthy to listen to? My regular hair dresser coming at 6.30 and i'm staying home today not risking going out in this weather. Starty don't feel gulty about taking time off work for being sick we can all be done without when it come to employees if you left tomorrow they could fill your place easily so went till you feel 100% or so till you go back. I do a bit for animal welfare and issues but I would like to do more may be 2 afternoons a week at a charity shop or animal rescue centre. A little goal for new year.

This year I am feeling more festive than usual. Not sure why. Maybe acceptance? I always used to dread Christmas (all sorts of reasons) but maybe I am mellowing

It was lovely - I had a good catch up, some of them got fairly mangled, others didnt. But the best thing was, I didnt miss the wine or the cocktails one bit, nor did I crave anything when I got home (and usually poured a large one before I hit the hay). Not thinking Im 'cured' or anything, but it felt good, considering I felt a bit wobbly last week.

Wexford street was humming, I was half expecting to see the Satz's coming out of Whelans! I havnt been down that direction for years!
Passed Coppers on the way, so glad Im not 20 anymore!

I've just received a phone call. One of my cousin's from my dad's side of the family that I'm big pals with died today from complications during an operation. She was only 64ish.
