satz123, we would love to have you all join us here at the cafe! There's always chairs available, and the army's sense of humor is always welcome.
Rainy and muggy this morning, but I'm thankful, because now I don't have to weed the gardens.
I'm in for another 24 hours of serenity.

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Never quite got the hang of that title.
And the 24 hours thing, is just a check in for another 24 hours of sobriety.Last edited by Mulburry; August 7, 2023, 09:54 PM.

I did cut back on the gum yesterday Ginger999 and just used a regular gum instead, didn't seem to bother me at all so I'll go with that till the Nicorette's are gone and then just stick to regular chewing gum for any cravings that I might experience.
P.S. Sounds like you're mostly over the nicotine withdrawal hump then? Congrats that's another huge one to beat!Last edited by Mulburry; August 7, 2023, 09:55 PM.

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
Hello, another stray crashing here if thats OK? Hope I dont wreck it !
Cowboy, I also am an avid Nico chewer. Have been for about 30 years and have probably only quit it once in that time for a few weeks. I think its more addictive than cigs or at least on a par. I also vape which I know is not good. Well done for doing the swap out. Let us know how you get on.
Sinus sprays are also a nightmare for nasal tissues. Has anyone tried a Neti pot to flush sinuses?

Welcome satz123, starty, and IamMary! By all means, get the rest of the gang over here. You don't want to miss cowboy's fantastic breakfasts on Sunday mornings.
Still going to AA meetings and finding peace there; never thought that I'd be saying that.
No booze in sight for the next 24 hours. As they say...ODAT.
