Thinking of you and your sister, Jude. Hope all is going well. More prayers for her today from my little spot in Ohio.

Our farmer friend turned 80 and his birthday is being celebrated today. I'll be baking an apple pie to take to the potluck supper. He has been such a wonderful neighbor and friend. He told us this week tho that he is officially retiring. He'll be selling off his cattle and he's passing the raising of the hay (he grows some here) to his nephew. I'm happy for him!

We finished up the wheat yesterday just in time as it started to rain shortly after. Got to come back to Veg last night and might have a day or two off as the canola isn't quite ready and Corey has to go check the oats to see if it's ready. 3500 acres done, 3500 acres to go.

Thanks all for your support during my sister's surgery, and I'm relieved to say that she did well. I haven't heard anything so far today, but I'm sure that I will get an update soon.

Good morning Cafe. Jude so happy that all went well with your sisters surgery. Now hoping her recovery is swift and painless. Cowboy 3500 acres to go??? WOW that makes my head spin….. Dill an apple pie sounds great. Last night I went to make a quiche and the oven was smoking. I had made a cheese cake the day before and did not realize the springform pan was not tight and all the sugary goodness was all over the bottom of the oven. Needless to say i had to use the self cleaning mode, open all the windows and am now starting over with the quiche. It was a mess literally. I should have know when I didn't have a pie pan and making a quiche in a round cake pan was not quite ideal!. Well i hope everyone has a great and sober saturday. Good morning cafe. Sorry about your baking mishap Rava, but I guess that these things happen occasionally. My sister is home now and doing well. I'm so relieved that the surgery is over and my sister is recovering, except for being sore which is to be expected.

Wow cowboy, that's a lot of acres to cover before the harvest is done. Just think of all the people being fed by the fruit of your labor. Thank you!

Glad that your knee is doing better Ginger. Just in time for your trip with your sisters.

I sure do appreciate all you do Cowboy. I bet you did a lot of good while you were a drinker, but I bet that your effectiveness and productivity is multiples of what it would be if you had continued that cycle. Thanks for your leadership here.

Good morning Cafe. Sounds like we are doing doing well here in the Cafe. Im sitting here drinking coffee listening to the pouring down rain. We need it so bad. I just wish I would have put my patio cushions away last night. Well I guess they are getting a good cleaning today. One grand spent the night and he is still sleeping. We had a great time with this set of grands. It was their first time to the tiny home and they loved it. Makes my heart happy. I can only imagine what a smoking oven does to a tiny home Rava, at least now you have a clean oven and patio cushions haha

I'm not so sure how productive I was during my drinking days dill, but I do know that having a clear head and no hangover definitely helps me each morning now.
