Hmmm, I don't think I have any friends that are non-drinkers, but the friends I do have aren't bothered by the fact that I don't drink. All the events at the Senior's Center are alcohol free and everyone seems to enjoy themselves anyway, I know Bubba and I do.
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Well, hubby's doc may not see me. They are checking with him before they make an appointment. Apparently, he doesn't like to mess with people that have had recent surgery. The scheduler couldn't explain why. Now I wait. I'll just keep doing what I can for now.

Grateful to be here with all of you! I'll take another day of freedom!

Same for me. It also really helps that most of my friends have families and kids and whatnot now, and our hard drinkig/partyng days are behind us. To be honest, it would have been a lot harder to quit back in those days, as it would have always felt like I was missing out. But with everyone in the same boat now, more or less, it makes it so much easier.

Enjoying another little blast of beautiful sunny weather here (until what looks like a week or two of straight rain starts on Thursday) !

Geez Ginger, I sure hope that the ortho doc changes his mind about seeing you. It seems as though the medical world is getting more complicated everyday, and not in a good way.

Now that I'm in AA and MWO I have a lot of non-drinking friends. Mr. J drinks and there is always beer in the fridge, which I am able to resist so far, but sometimes it's a challenge not to crack one open. I don't ever want to go down that rabbit hole again.

We're supposed to get buckets of rain and lots of wind today. Yuck!

24 more for all of us please...

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, I hope that doctor changes his mind. He doesn't want to step on the other doctor’s toes I guess. Jude, sounds like a super crappy day is coming your way. Hope you manage to do something fun in spite of the rain and wind. We are traveling to see our daughter and granddaughter today until Friday. Staying in a nearby hotel. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Safe trip and have fun with the family Rava!

Not much on my agenda today, we had a bit of snow overnight but the leaf blower will take care of it easy enough.

Waves to the rest of the gang...

Doc office called yesterday and said he'd see me. My appt is next week. What!!!! It took four months for me to get an appt back home. Crazy what living a half hour from Phoenix gets you. Haha

Sounds pretty weathery out there for most of ya'll. Rava, enjoy your visit. Waves to all I'll take another day of freedom!

That's good news, Ginger! Hope a fresh pair of eyes and a fresh bunch of brain cells come up with something good for you.

I woke up to a dusting of snow. We have a cold day ahead tomorrow will be brutally cold and windy. I better enjoy today as best I can!

Hope we all have another 24 hours of peace and health.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
