Slo, I have a habit of having a couple of Doves dark chocolates every evening after our meal. That's what I was intending to give up for Lent, but failed. 'The spirit was willing but the flesh was weak" as the saying goes.

Cowboy, we have been through the process of shocking the well a few times here over the years. It'll be good to have it done before your season starts.

Jude, I just noticed that program, The Farmer wants a Wife, the other day. I'm not sure where I saw it advertised. What service is it on? I'll give it a look-see.

Rava, I have been looking at fish monitors but have not yet bought one. I want to surprise Mr. D with it but I am not good at buying "tech" devices, so I'm going to ask around and see if I can get some input from others that are more savvy about these things.

Ginger, now that you are settled back in, do you have any projects planned? How is your knee doing these days?

Mul, hope you're back to 100%.

24 more for all of us please and thank you.

I'm just wondering Slo if there's a place near you that provides meals for the homeless or less fortunate, that might be a good place to volunteer to help serve their Easter meal? Our kids share their time between their mom and Bubba and I so sometimes the holidays seem lonely without them but we always chat with them on the holidays.

We are watching the American version Jude, I wonder how much of the "drama" is real or scripted, but it makes for light entertainment anyway lol.

I'm not sure why they call it "shocking" the well Ginger, I usual say shock chlorinating and I'm not even sure why that is said. I guess it's about the high concentration of bleach used over a short time. It's usually done to clean the well, pump, and waterlines as well as kill any iron bacteria that's in the water.

Shock chlorinating seems an apt description of the process, Cowboy.

I will have to look up that show, now that I know when & where it’s on! I used to be able to look up what’s on TV online on Zap2It, but that is defunct now.

I’m all done having cats & dogs; I want to be able to pick up & go when I want without having to arrange pet care. I had to put my 17-year-old cat down a year ago; that was awful.

I can’t serve meals to the homeless; I get too dizzy and weak and too in pain with the neuropathy and the POTS & all that. I can barely manage my own activities of daily living -need to take lots of breaks.

It’s just that we always got together as a big extended family for Easter. I hosted so many large Easter gatherings over the years. But now my brothers & sisters just have Easter with their nuclear families, or skip it. They make sure Mother is invited, but not the rest of us. Not sure why the change.

D3 lives too far away from everyone else, so no; I won’t move there. Tomorrow I will head up to D1’s for the day!

I'm still struggling with joint pain, Dill. Thanks for asking. I'm working with my doc but don't have much hope of a resolution. It's osteoarthritis and there's very little they can do for it.

ABC, that makes complete sense about shocking the well!

Waves all. Counting my blessings! I'll take another day of freedom.

Good morning cafe! Dill I've been watching Farmer wants a wife on Hulu, but I believe that I also saw it on the Roku channel. (Streaming)
Cowboy, I'm pretty sure that a lot of the show is scripted, so much drama. There is a Farmer wants a wife that is filmed in Australia which I like a lot better than the American version. Either way, it's good for when you want to watch something mindless.

It will just be Mr. J and I for Easter, and we'll probably just have a baked ham with potatoes and a veggie. Keeping it simple.

24 more for all of us please...

Good morning Cafe. Dill, I hope you can find the camera. If you have a Tik Tok account thats where I got mine. The ones on Amazon were expensive. I paid about 49.00 for mine on Tik Tok. Hope everyone has a good day. 24 more please and thank you.

Thanks Jude, I'll check out the show probably on the Roku Channel. Sometimes mindless TV is just what I need. I'm fascinated with Australia, so maybe that's the one for me. Your Easter meal sounds perfect. I am going to keep it simple, too. I have a frozen turkey breast I bought at Christmas but never used. So that's our main course. I"ll have potatoes and gravy and a veggie. Probably asparagus.

Cowboy, I just this morning saw and advertisement for the Farmer program on Fox. So that's another option. Thanks.

Ginger, sorry your knee is still painful and that you have to figure a way to manage it. Are you still able to get out and hike if you don't overdo it? I hope so.

Waves to Rava, Slo and Mul.

24 more please and thank you.

Rava, cross-post. We must've pressed that "post reply" button at the exact same time! LOL No, I don't have a tik tok account. I'm not going to take on another app, so I guess I'll have to just pay a little more. That's what I get for being stubborn!

Sounds like good meals for Easter that you have planned. I will probably go out for an Easter dinner with my twin sister.

D2 invited me over to hang out with her & 2 y/o Huxley for a few hours yesterday late afternoon / early evening. That was a nice little time!
Then he wanted to call me later to report on some potty training success!
D2 is knee-deep in paperwork & planning for a surrogacy pregnancy. Embryo transfer is scheduled for 5/13!

I can check that show out on Roku then too. Good to know.

I need to find the energy now to pack up and travel to D1’s house for the day.

Wishing all a good AF day!

Slo, it's nice you spend so much time with your daughters. Enjoy

Dill, no real hiking since the injury. I don't trust it not to fail on me miles away from the trailhead. When I go back to AZ this winter, I will see that doc again and ask for a replacement. Maybe enough time will have passed by then to get it.

Gdaughter asked me to come and plant flowers with her and the littles so that's my agenda today. The greats are 3yo and 20 months. This should be great fun.

Waves to all! I'll take another day of freedom.
