Good idea wearing a mask on the plane Rava, especially with Covid being so prevalent these days.

Ginger, are you in Arizona yet?

Not much happening here, but I know that this will be a sober day. 24 more please...

Good morning Cafe and Happy Monday. Mr R and I did not wear masks on the plane but looking back now we should have.. When we fly back for Christmas we will be wearing them. Not taking any chances next time. Hope everyone has a great day. 24 more please and thank you!

Ya this is what I hate about it as well. Just at the time when it starts to feel like it's getting dark early, you suddenly lose another hour of daylight, it feels like bam, winter is here with a bang. I do try to resist it by just doing everything a bit earlier but eventually with everything being on the new time it gets the better of me.

Rava, I agree with you about how life used to be much simpler. I'm always grateful that I grew up in a time when life was less complicated. I feel bad for kids today, as they don't seem to have the freedom that I had as a child.
I visited my friend and his two kids today and you couldn't tell at all, neither have phones (though they're probably too young at 4 and 6) and they played outside in the park as any child would. It'll probably get to them eventually as they get older, but I think the key as a parent is to not over-expose them too early and keep them engaged in doing other (non digital) activities.

Rava, do you guys wear masks on planes? My sister always does regardless of covid. So far she's stayed well!
I still wear masks in most public settings (bus, grocery store etc.). Such a simple thing today and can really aid in preventing catching something (which for me can sometimes last weeks or months). So few people do anymore, I guess everyone just likes getting sick.

Things were definitely simpler when we were growing up, most kids didn't even have a wristwatch till they were in their teens, now the kids don't even wear them as they check the time on their cell phone lol. But I'm glad for the technology we have today otherwise I would have never met y'all!

Good morning. My clock said 5 am but I knew it was 6 am. So I got up anyway. Takes a bit for me to adjust but I will. Mr R has come back with a horrible cough and has lost his voice. Covid test was negative. I am sure he picked it up on the plane which is a breeding fest for germs. Hopefully I will not get it. I am way too early for Cowboys breakfast so I will have a donut for now. Hope everyone has a safe and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Ditto Jude and Rava, I hope the children and young people today can find a way to put the cell phones and tablets in their place and get back to living and connecting to others in the here and now and in person. Maybe that's a good target for prayer today if anyone is so inclined.

24 (or is it 25?) more for all of us here, please and thank you.

I feel bad for kids today, as they don't seem to have the freedom that I had as a child. We also didn't have computers, cell phones and social media. Kids today always seem to have their eyes glued to their cell phones or tablets, and they don't realize all of the things that they're missing.

I hate that time change business! AZ doesn't do it so we don't get bothered by it. Pick one and stick with it, is my vote. Lol

Off we go! I'll take another day of freedom
