Rava, put your slip behind you and keep moving. I know that I would have gone out and grabbed a bottle of wine afterwards, but you didn't. Good job nipping it in the bud before you went down that rabbit hole again.
I have a doctors appointment this morning but other than that, I have no plans for today, but I know that there will be no booze.
24 more for all of us please...

Here's a picture of a bench in our side yard, beneath a Maple:
Here's a picture taken in the woods while on a Ranger ride:

I think I waited too long to take pics because most of the colors are past their prime now. But hopefully you enjoy these images from my world.
Rava, you are doing great and are on the right path. Just keep moving forward.

Good morning Cafe. Hope everyone had a good weekend. We are heading back to the tiny house this morning and then off to an elementary school program. I went to a business dinner last night and had 2 glasses of wine. I am not here to feel all ashamed and terrible about myself. I do know that I am still not buying and alcohol or bringing it into my home. I do NOT want to start that mess over but wanted to come clean with my buddies here. I do not plan on letting this slip take me down. Hope everyone has a great Monday. It’s so cold that Florida is sounding better and better! 24 hours of freedom please and thank you.

Cowboy, thank you for that great breakfast and also for sharing your comments about Cowboy poetry. I must admit I didn't ever know there was such a genre, but I looked up Baxter Black (may he RIP) and read a bit about him and also watched a clip of him on the Johnny Carson Show, 1987. What a hoot! I can see why he appeals to you. I wonder if my brother-in-law knows of him. I think he'd really like Baxter Black, too.
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Sounds like yesterday was a busy and exhausting day Ginger, have fun at the party today.
Hope you had a safe drive north Rava and are enjoying the time with your gkids.
I do enjoy reading some poetry dill, mostly cowboy poetry though. Baxter Black is one of my favorite poets.
We usually have 25 - 30 kiddos come to the door Jude, I love seeing them in their costumes as well.

Jude, I too enjoy seeing the children in their costumes. I don't think I'll have an opportunity this year tho as we are not going to any Halloween events and we never have trick or treaters out where we live.
Ginger, glad you're having such good times with your family! That kind of exhaustion is worth it! Your post also brought a poem to mind. My brain must be in a poetic cycle or something! The poem you brought to mind is called, The Dash, by Linda Ellis. It's about the things that matter most.
I took a picture of the maple tree outside my kitchen door, but the camera did not do it justice! I'll try again today in a different light.
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Thanks for the poem dill! I don't read a lot of poetry, but I do like Robert Frost.
Cowboy, do you get many trick or treaters on Halloween? It's one of my favorite holidays, but we don't get many kids at the door, just the ones across the street. I do love seeing what kind of costumes they are wearing.
Ginger, hope that you had fun with your sister at the craft fair yesterday, I do love a good craft sale!
Grateful for all of my friends here, and wishing for another day of sobriety for all of us!

No rest today! Little sis wants to go to four craft fairs and lunch today. I can't say no. I won't see my little bestie for months!
I was exhausted after the greats yesterday but it was so fun! Great gson has his 3rd bday party tomorrow so it will be the last time I see all my family before we head out. Looking forward to that but it's sad to say goodbye.
I'll remember that saying, Jude. Thanks!
I'll gratefully take another day of freedom
