I don't mind a busy restaurant, but I'm not all that keen on standing in line to get a table. Long lineups don't always mean that the food is worth it lol.

Have a safe flight home Jude, I'll bet Mr J will be as happy to see you as your sister was. I'm sure your sister and you will be in constant contact in other ways than you being there with her.

It was nice to see Satz on the other forum dill, not sure if the Army still stays in contact on FB or if Techie joined then there.

I don't imagine it would take much to heat up those tiny homes Rava, I think that's why Adam and Darcie kept the amount of windows in theirs to a minimum. Hopefully the replacement patio door goes well without any problems.

I'm not enjoying the farming as much as I used to, I'm finding it more and more stressful each year just because it seems there are so many changes now each year with equipment, seed, etc where mistakes end up costing major dollars. I have always told myself when something stops being fun, it's time to stop doing it. But I still have fun days and get a feeling of satisfaction after putting in a successful day so I'll have to think about it over the winter.

Heading home today. It's been a great visit with my sister and I will miss her, but it will be good to see Mr. J again! I have an early flight this morning so I'd best get my butt in gear.

24 more for all of us please...

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy I bet you are relieved to get the camper all winterized. You have all winter to decide if you want to stay involved or not. Jude, hope all is still going well with your sister. Dill good luck with your walk around the pond. Ginger, I agree with not being all peopley. I cant understand why people wait hours in the morning at a local breakfast place near us to eat an egg. Damn, I can make the same thing from home for a lot less aggravation! We usually eat at home. I didn’t really pay much attention to the Army conversation when that took place. Sometimes I just live in a bubble. Today we are having a sliding glass door replaced. Ours was leaking here at the tiny home and we are having one replaced with inside blinds. The sun is so strong that it heats up this little home like an oven. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

I agree with you Ginger. That was an unfortunate event when the kerfuffle arose with the Army. I think it was just a big misunderstanding, but it never got resolved. I miss the Army too. A week or so ago, Satz showed up over at Cowboy's WQD forum. That was a pleasant surprise. But I miss Techie and QW too. I hope they are all well.

Rava, so glad the power is back on! I hope I won't need your zig zag strategy tomorrow.

Cowboy, I too was wondering too about next growing season. You have time to think about it during the winter months. Do you still enjoy the work?

    Hello, Jude and Mul.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

ABC, why wouldn't you help out? Is it too much? Glad you're buttoned up for winter. It's a good feeling to have that behind you, I bet.

Dill, be careful! I'm afraid if I had to run and then add a zig zag, I'd end up as gator bait for sure!

Rava, that's great news about the power. I was watching some reels of the aftermath yesterday and I was shocked to see how close people build there! Literally, one house only had a sea wall between them and the ocean. The wall was only 4ft from the house. Crazy!

Jude, you're going to miss your sis when you head home. Are you getting home sick?

No word from techie here. It was never the same with that kerfuffle when the Army group joined for a minute. Anyway, that's how it seemed to me. I miss QW too. I emailed him once but never heard back. Hope Mrs QW is OK.

We went to Texas Roadhouse for our goodbye dinner with sisters last night. It just opened here and man it was packed! I'm hoping that's my first and last time. I don't care about food enough to deal with that many people. Lol

I'll gladly take another day of freedom!

That's a long time to be without power Rava, good thing you didn't have a full freezer and only a few items in your fridge.

Yes, it is a beautiful view Ginger, we had the same full moon here last night only it was orange.

I think I'd stay away from that pond dill, just in case lol.

I'm going to bet that your visit with your sister was a bit longer Jude, it sounds like you guys are having a great time together.

The camper is all winterized and closed up for the year, now just to decide if I'm going to help out next year or not.

Dill, hope that there are no alligators lurking in the pond during your fundraiser.

Beautiful view Ginger, I can see how you would miss it but at least you'll be warm.

I'm in for another 24 hours of peace...

That was an awesome sight, Ginger. Thanks for sharing.

Our fundraiser takes place this Sunday and involves a walk around a pond. The pond where the 'gator was sighted. I will keep my camera ready if there are any signs of it and will post here.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Fingers crossed for the power to be on soon, Rava! Do they have a guesstimate of when that might happen?

Hope everyone has a great, productive day. Busy one here but first, coffee and view. I'm going to miss this but not the cold. I'll take another day of freedom!

Good morning Cafe. Jude, I am sure your sister has a whole new aspect on life. I am so happy for her and you as well that you get to have some fun without the C word looming over. Taking a pill everyday for 5 years is easy! Great news! Ginger, we will both be back in our summer homes within days of each other! Dill hope those defensive moves never have to be put into play! Something about zig zag running confuses the alligator. It’s worth a try if ever in that situation. We still don't have power in FL. So hopefully soon! Hi to Cowboy and Mul! Wishing everyone a great and sober day!!

We're heading off to check out the Snowy mountains this morning, and it looks to be a beautiful day weather wise. My sister's outlook on life has improved dramatically since getting the good news that she is cancer free and I'm so happy for her.So much to be grateful for.

24 more for all of us please...

That's fantastic news about your sister Jude, it should make the rest of your visit even better!

November 1st. isn't far off Ginger, at least Halloween will be spent at home. Sounds like you and Rava will be headed back around the same time.

It didn't rain so I'm off to the farm today to winterize and check things out, then over to the farm boss's place to get a material list for the electrical supplies we'll need to get power over to the 4 new steel bins.
