Good to hear the hay is all put up dill! Our hay crops were so poor that most mixed farmers dropped the pea straw instead of chopping it and baled it to use for feed this winter. No rain when we needed it, and now too much when we don't need it lol. Could be worse though...

Not sure how you manage working daily with those type of people Jude58, it takes a special kind of person to deal with special needs patients!

How's the house building coming along Ginger999? Thought I saw on FB that you and Mr Ginger were building a new home base?

You'll have to explain more about this Parkinson's group thing Quit wining, is it like a support group or an information network? Great to see people get involved in worthwhile projects!

Are your girls back in school lifechange? What is the school system like in Germany, much the same as over here?

How's the work situation paulywogg? Are you and Kell still thinking about moving shops? Is hubs still in plumbing or did he move back to automotive work?

I remember a time when I silently jumped for joy when Bubba would be gone for a few days Mr Vervill! All I had to worry about was if there was enough beer and quick meals in the house to keep me pleasantly buzzed while she was gone lol. Are you still doing the photography thing?

Just about time for me to get my butt in gear, got a full day of driving and appointments to attend to, have a great day everyone!

Happy Monday morning! Another busy week with gkids. Not sure how I ever had time for work!

Cowboy, the property's view is amazing but that comes with a big price! Lots of excavation. The primary pad is done but lots more to come. This first punch will let the well driller get in there to drill Oct 1. Once that's done we close things up to head south. The real work starts next spring! Thanks for asking.

Another 24 please and thank you!

""There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self. So you have to begin there, not outside, not on other people. That comes afterward, when you've worked on your own corner.""--Aldous Huxley

Hi Café Lovelies,
Happy Un-hung Monday. Just hanging out, working on my own corner atm. I'm also so tired, Jude.. almost feels like a low-grade hangover. Hoping it will improve soon.
Yes, AB, the girls have been back in school since the end of August.. they just have 6 weeks off during the Summer, but then 2 weeks in late October, 1 in February, 3 weeks over Easter.. and lots of single days off/4 day weekends for Christian holidays, Pentecost, Ascension day, etc.. In the beginning I missed long summers and wasn't sure all the interruptions were good for getting deep into subjects.. but I think they really need/look forward to the breaks and can actually work harder during the shorter "sessions".. let's see.:happy2:
How's your hand been feeling? and How's Hank?

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Mr.V! What are you plans for when Mrs. V's away? Anything you like to watch or eat that she doesn't agree with?

ok. Off to make some dinner. Here's to 24 more af hours for us all!xx

abcowboy, the goal in working with Parkinson Alberta is both to raise awareness through information sharing and offer practical therapy sessions. They offer courses and instruction on things like maintaining flexibility (unfortunately done through dance!) and other issues such as how to deal with difficulty swallowing.
Parkinson’s can be difficult to diagnose because not every patient presents the same symptoms. In the case of Mrs QW, she had lost much of the use of her right arm and was dragging her right foot. Her voice was very soft and her handwriting small and shaky. Facial expression was diminished.
Sadly, the only way to know for sure a person has Parkinson’s is to autopsy the brain.
Fortunately there are some fabulous drugs available to ease the symptoms but there is no cure for this degenerative disease.
What I’m looking for is to connect with some other care partners.

My little buddy and I got wet on our walk this morning in supposedly cloudy conditions.

Hope everyone enjoys their Monday af!

QW

Well Mr. V, your prediction was correct....the rain is here! Makes it tough for the farmers to get their crops in, but with a lot of hard work and perseverance, they get it done.
dill....I'm not sure what happened to Orimus. I guess that people come and go on this site for various reasons. Some may have started drinking again, others maybe feel that they are strong enough to continue this journey on their own. I just hope that he is OK...

Asking for another 24 please and thank you!

Back to the regular grind today, looks like I might finish up this plumbing and heating job before we get back in the field. If the weather forecast is to be believed, I'm guessing we'll start harvest again Friday or Saturday, but I have to take the father-in-law to his heart specialist appointment Friday morning at 11:30 so I won't get back out to the farm till about 3:30 or 4:00.

Great to see everybody busy, looks like we all have things to look forward to. Hank is like a new dog lifechange, back to his original boisterous self lol. At my last physio, the therapist rated me at about 90% back to normal. He gave me the go ahead to return to normal work and I just smiled, I never really stopped my normal work lol. But the appointments will continue until I'm back to 95%, so I'm working on these exercises non-stop so that I'm at that stage for my appointment on the 28th.

Mr V, feel free to send some of that heat our way. We’ll take it!

Spending much of the day in the kitchen preparing a few meals ahead. Hopefully Mrs QW will have enough energy and interest to do some short road trips, maybe with camera in hand. Great time of year to photograph migrating birds.

My little buddy spotted 7 deer yesterday morning on our walk who appeared to be in desperate need of herding!

Hope everyone has a great af Tuesday!

Good quote, lifechange. It's a full time job saving ourselves, but it helps to be in such good company!

Really late check in here today. I had coffee shop this morning and the moment I got home we had company stop in unexpectedly, so I've been pretty busy.
Jude58 it was lifechange that asked about Orimus but I do wonder about him sometimes too. I hope he is doing well and just no longer needs the site.

24 more please and thank you.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
