A busy day ahead with delivery of a few gifts to those who help us throughout the year and preparation for having our granddaughter here tomorrow for an overnight visit. I wonder what mischief we’ll get into???

We woke up at 13 degrees F this morning which is well below average. I'm starting to get nervous about what's in store for us this winter.

Cowboy, I recall saying last month when it was hunting season that the deer which had disappeared would return in December. This morning when Jessie and I walked we saw 12-15 deer in a farmer’s field!

Dill, we were around 0 F this morning but warmed up to the mid-30’s F by afternoon, thanks to a Chinook. Dill, do you get Alberta Clippers where you live?

When I now think back on my drinking days, I think about the things I did and said that hurt them. I don’t think about me, the good times I had, but how my drinking affected those around me. They are truly the unsung heroes for sticking by me and believing in me when I had no faith in myself…

You’re right [MENTION=22409]Quit wining[/MENTION], the wildlife have a natural instinct for survival. When they hear the first gunshot, they go into survival mode. And when things quieten down, out they come again. Kinda like us, as alcoholics we wanted to protect our drinking, so we hid away and drank. Now that we’ve started our road to recovery, we can come out from hiding and get back to a normal way of living...

Yes QW, we get Alberta clippers all the way down in Ohio! I'm not particularly a big fan.

Our granddaughter is here this weekend for an overnight so we'll be busy keeping up with her. I got Walt Disney's Pinocchio from the library and can't wait to watch it!
