I pondered long and hard before I decided to use this mornings quote as it seemed a bit too "spiritual" for me and I like to keep religion out of the mainstream discussion just like politics. But then I decided that it wasn't necessarily religious, it all depends where your beliefs lie. And sometimes it's even hard to understand why we get troubles thrown at us; fate? our own actions? actions of others? things beyond our control? But given enough time, and a positive attitude, the understanding part slowly creeps into our mind. No matter what problems we face, maybe they are there just to prove how strong we can be if we really need to be strong...

Sorry to be MIA.. just finished up catching up in the Nest and will spend some time catching up here later on today.

We've escaped to the pine forests north of Phoenix for a week or so and it's like heaven! Though phx has been much cooler than usual. Knock on wood.

Some awesome weather overnight - thunder, lightning and torrential rains. We don’t get these storms often and while most people complain about them, I enjoy them. Jessie wasn’t bothered by the noise which surprises me.

Mrs QW’s appointment went well yesterday and as an added bonus, the dress shopping which was added to the agenda last minute only took 30 minutes to find what she was looking for. Usually when we go clothes shopping, I find the husband chair and catch up on emails while the search goes on.

72F hot and hazy, low 90's today.
Got today off, then work the next 10 days, long stretch.
Long bike ride yesterday, 35 miles, then 1/2 mile swim, whipped.
Might try and ride again today.
Glad the dress shopping went fast QW, don't like the wait much either.
Hope the foundation got finished, Ginger. Now the exciting part starts.
