Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Yay it’s good to be back. Didn’t like the database error. So glad it’s fixed. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. I’ve had my grandson since Thursday and he has been delightful. Its funny the things I can do with him that his mother says he wont do. Kids are so different away from their parents. There should be a study on this somewhere. LOL. Another 24 for me please and thanks.

I am so happy to have the thread back and running!

Speaking of pirates, we borrowed the theatrical version of Peter Pan which was done for A&E network in the year 2000 starring Cathy Rigby as Pan. Hook was marvelously played by an actor named Sam Zeller. Lots of entertaining pirate action! My granddaughter was captivated as were we.

How are you doing Jude? How did the surgery go?

24 more please. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Ahoy, mateys! That breakfast hit the spot, Cowboy. And the succinct summation of addiction!

I’m glad that you’re enjoying the lengthy time with your grandson, Rava! That’s true about kids: when me or my MIL babysat my niece, she would always cooperate about putting on her coat right away when we told her to and that sort of thing, but with her own mother she’d refuse, whine, run away, need help putting it on etc. -it would drag out into a long struggle.

All new appliances all at once, Ginger! And they will all match.

So did you end up with a bread machine, QW?

I wasn’t too afraid that I would drink at the wedding, just that I would be miserably sober and missing out. I only felt a very little of that, like when the gang was reaching their peak of inebriation in the magical first hour. Like dill said, there will be a few moments, but otherwise just fine. Although I can’t get by on just water; I need to prop myself up with sugar: de-alcoholized wine & an AF beer (I brought those; and the bartenders were very kind), a soda, two cupcakes...whatever it takes!

And I got to see the downsides of booze/addiction too, like the over-drunk groom being foolish, and his poor brother still struggling with heroin addiction; present at the wedding some, but not able to take an active role like being a groomsman.

Was happy to see your post yesterday, Jude, and to know you’re out the other side successfully now!

Requesting an easy 24 hours AF today.

Thank you all for your thoughts! Surgery went well, but it's kinda tough to write left handed.

Another 24 please and thank you very much!

Morning All! Good to see everyone this AM. I always panic when the site gets shaky. I'm glad I've connected with some of you on FB. I immediately messaged Cowboy. He was right there like always! :•)

I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

We have an aide coming to stay with mom for a few hours. Hubby and I are going to do some running around. Always errands to be done aren't there?

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

A cool but sunny day to start, later on to be almost summer like. I love this time of year, too bad it means winter is coming.

I haven’t bought a bread maker yet but have narrowed the search. The bread I made yesterday was baked in a Dutch oven and had only 4 ingredients - flour, yeast, salt and water. I was pleased with how it turned out.

Jessie and I enjoyed our walk this morning. She scared a cat out of one of its 9 lives so she was happy. She’s now asleep at my feet with paws twitching, no doubt reliving her exciting chase in her dreams.

Jude, glad your surgery is over, wishing you a speedy and complete recovery.

Have a great af Sunday everyone!

Good morning Cafe. So glad things are working correctly again! Jude, so glad you are doing well. I’m sure you are just glad the surgery is behind you now. On ward to healing and riding your horse when you recover. Hope everyone has a great Monday. Another 24 for me please and thank you!
