QW, I hope your meeting with the neurologist yesterday bore some positive news.

Slo, good luck with the baby shower today. You have such an active social life! You must be proud of yourself sticking to the AF lifestyle in the face of it. I'm sure being AF is better all the way around and you are doing a fantastic job of meeting the challenges!

Yesterday we spent the afternoon helping our friend who has terminal liver cancer get his cable tv and streaming service set up. He has been unable to navigate the whole process because of his diminished health. He was so appreciative it was well worth the time. He is living ODAAT in every sense of the word. He is a recovering alcoholic on top of having the cancer. He is so grateful for each day he has and we are too.

Hoping the grandkids come today but we haven't heard for sure yet.

Here's to another 24 for all of us!

Our meeting with the neurologist went well yesterday. Mrs QW is changing the time she takes her meds, hoping the peaks & valleys level out. As we suspected, her PD is progressing. At least the progression is slow.
Our neurologist spends most of her time teaching and is giving up her few remaining patients. She’s arranging for us to see neurologists at the movement disorder clinic. We’ve appreciated her TLC over the last 3 years. The doctors at the movement disorder clinic come highly recommended and we’re looking forward to working with them.

That last quote reminded me of my step-dad. He was a very abusive alcoholic that made my Mom's life hell when she was living. No matter what he did she'd never leave. Before she passed I told her, once she was gone I was DONE with that man. She said that was fine but to make sure I found a way to forgive him or I'd keep packing him around. Sage advice. I forgave him in my heart and haven't seen him since!

More than a bit late with my check in today because I just got out of bed at 10 lol. We combined till 5 this morning, would have went another hour to finish the field, but breakdowns forced us to stop. By the time we drove the equipment back to the yard and I drove home to Vermilion, it was 6am. Showered and crawled into bed lol. Woke up to a white landscape this morning, so I might get a few days to get caught up on my sleep!

I agree with Mr. V.....great to see quotes from other members! Maybe once in awhile we can come up with our own sayings.

Thank you for the forgiveness quote, Ginger. That major truth is so succinctly stated; that holding a grudge hurts me by making me bitter! I’m trying to get rid of my grudges, as that is such an important cornerstone for successful sobriety. Yeah, I wish you had signed up for two weeks of quotes too, Ginger! haha.

I wish Mrs. QW was holding steady for longer rather than progressing, QW. Such a cruel disease. Hopefully balancing out the peaks & troughs of the meds will help.

Since the baby shower was at my house, I made it an AF affair! D2 offered to bring wine for it, HB said he would go pick up some alcoholic beverages for it to round out the offerings, but I said NO. The guest of honor can’t drink, and I think a group of women can gather from 11:00am until 2:00pm-ish without drinking. And they did, and it was very nice! Her friends & sisters sure came up with some clever ideas.

Thanks for breakfast, abcowboy! It makes me feel like I’m back having breakfast in Nicaragua where D2’s wedding was.

Tonight I get to go see ‘Hamilton’ with young daughter and her friend’s family! That will be a treat! And dinner at an Italian restaurant beforehand, but wine before a play makes me too sleepy for the play, so I’ll just say that.
