Okay, back to my home thread lol.
Safe trip Quit wining! Hopefully you’ll be posting some pics of the locations you’ll be visiting!
Wells definitely aren’t cheap dill! And you must have been reading my mind because I was going to ask what it cost lol. It sounds like the price is about the same as it is up here.
Oh boy Jude58, you really “dated” yourself with the “mooning” lol. Brings back fond memories of days gone by!
Gorgeous pic Ginger999! Interesting how the moon is still the same, but looks so different in various locations!
Interesting thoughts on recovery versus cured by Marilyn Slo. I wonder where she would put any of the other addiction categories such as drugs, gambling, porn, eating, etc. Would they fall under cured or recovering based on her reasoning between smoking and drinking?
As for the “thank”, “like”, and “mention” features, I also feel a bit lost without them, especially the “mention”! And I don’t think having them gone would/will change the way or amount of posting I do. Smileys are also an “extra” and I very, very seldom use them, but don’t mind if other people do. The thing to keep in mind is that they are just that, “extras” or “options”. Use them if you like, or not, it’s up to each individual. My truck came with a few options that I never use or used, that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t have bought my truck because of options that I’ll never use, it was still what I wanted and needed.

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
In a way cigarette smoking and boozing are similar addictions because smokers can’t go back to “moderating” either -I believe a smoker would end up back at previous smoking levels the way we go back to previous drinking levels.
I’m old enough to remember when smoking was widely accepted in society, and cigarette commercials were on TV and in magazines. A 180 degree turn has happened in society with that particular addictive substance! Meanwhile, alcohol is more widely accepted, encouraged, and promoted than ever. This would be easier for us if it were more frowned upon!
I thought Cowboy’s moon picture in the dusk was the most beautiful moon picture I had ever seen...until I saw Ginger’s!!
Thank you both for posting them. I guess we’re having two super moons plus an extra “blue” moon this year.
I am totally worn out from the heavy-duty detoxing cycle I go through before the full moon, and will be so happy to see it wane.
We have the most beautiful snowfall here! Big fat flakes fell all day! Poor road conditions with spin outs and crashes though.
I am grateful for a booze-free (although candy-filled, sugar-craving) day today.Last edited by Slo; February 9, 2020, 07:13 PM.Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
Thanks for this morning's quote Slo! Sometimes I have a hard time "resting" because all I can think of is the million things that I should be doing instead. Gotta work on that!
Great moon shot pics Ginger! Just gorgeous!
Another 24 please and thank you!

Another 24 hours please & thank you.
Hola from Solidaridad, Mexico! It was a long and tiring day yesterday but we arrived at the resort safely. For those who have driven in Mexico, it’s always an adventure!
We unpacked and were just seated at the restaurant for a late supper when I saw a couple in line who looked familiar. It was friends we met 6 years ago in Punta Cana. Since then we’ve kept in contact via email. We had told them about this trip so they decided to surprise us. They did!
Cowboy, yesterday’s brekkie looked amazing and so much better than what we had at the airport!
It’s sunny and 30C here, off to the beach.
Awesome photos posted in the last couple of days. I’ll have to see what I can find here to photograph.
Have a great af Monday everyone!

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
QW, that is so funny about the travelling companions surprising you! How very nice! Glad you arrived safe and sound. Enjoy!
Good quote, Slo. Rest is so important. I am lucky in that I have no trouble at all resting. I don't think rest would do a bit of good if one feels guilty doing it! We are all mere humans and we have to respect our bodies needs for nourishment and rest as well as exercise and activity. Don't push yourself too hard, Ginger!
Hey Cowboy, I just wrote the checks for our new well and pump installation. I was wrong in my earlier estimate. The cost was $4,600 for the well and $3,900 for the pump and connection to the plumbing. The plumbers suggested we should get a new pressure tank at the same time and we thought it a good idea, so that was part of it too. As far as the digging, the first 7' were clay, the next 24' were sandgravelclay, the next 31' were clay and gravel, then 80' of limestone followed by 1' of shale. Water was encountered at 76-143'. There was a sustainable yield of 30GPM. That's a more complete picture for you.
24 more please and thank you.Last edited by dill; February 10, 2020, 02:30 PM.Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
Just back from the beach - it was fabulous.
It occurred to me that back in the 70’s I wore neckties that had more material than many of the bikinis at the beach today. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, merely making an observation!!!
Mrs QW reminded me of a time in Punta Cana when we were walking on the beach, hand in hand. We met three very attractive young ladies, all topless. I squeezed Mrs QW’s hand and told her I was trying to picture them with clothes on!
