Another 24hours please & thank you.
Jessie & I walked twice yesterday, hope to do the same today. It seems strange to see the streets so empty and very few people walking. Hopefully this virus will be done soon, just don’t want to see a second round because of things opening up too soon.
Stay safe and stay well everyone.

Rains should come today! We could use it. Fires have started already near our AZ spot. 😵 Things are so dry here in eastern WA. I worry what this summer fire season will bring!
I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

Yes, dill...I'm chomping at the bit as well. Getting back to some sort of normalcy will be such a relief. Yesterday the howling winds, cold temps, and snow made it easier to hunker down inside. This whole virus thing has made me realize just how much we take for granted.
Thanks for yesterday's quote Rava! Some days it's harder than others to stay positive, but it's the key to getting through tough times!
Another 24 please and thank you!

Hi cafe. Took a walk yesterday and saw some people along the path wearing masks. When we approached they literally ran to the side to get away from us like we had leprosy. It’s so crazy to see how frightened people are becoming. It’s a strange world for sure. Hope everyone has a great day. Another 24 for me please and thank you.

Another 24 hours please & thank you.
Rava, one of the things that bothers me most about Covid-19 is the mask wearing folks who treat everyone else like they have the virus. Or leprosy. I had a store clerk the other day refuse cash, store policy during the pandemic. So instead I used my elite MasterCard which has a higher discount rate for the store. I worked in banking for 30 years and cash was always treated like dirty paper, which it was. And the first thing we did after handling was to wash our hands.
Like everyone else, I’ll be glad when things return to some semblance of normal although the new normal will undoubtedly be different.
Cooler here this morning as we head out the door for a walk. Jessie got me up at 6 again this morning.
Have a great af Thursday everyone.

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
Got out to Costco yesterday. They did a great job forcing social distancing. Only 30 people in at a time. Everyone working wore masks. We spent $249 and really stocked up! Shouldn't have to go out like that again for a long time but hoping that won't be necessary soon.
I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
Thanks for today's quote, Rava. Good reminder that we do control something at least: our own choices.
There are almost as many ways to react to this virus event as there are people, I suppose.
Our governor announced earlier this week that he was going to allow elective procedures to begin again as of May 1. I wondered what the reason was for the wait. Yesterday at his conference he changed that and said elective medical procedures deemed necessary by the doctor and patient could start immediately. Good news!
On a lighter note: I bought a new vacuum cleaner since I had time on my hands to research and review and could order online. It arrived yesterday and I love it! It's a Shark, a brand I have never had before.
24 more please and thank you.Dill

I've got some time and energy to actually do a post lol. I took this afternoon off work as Bubba and Hank came over for his thyroid meds check. We noticed he wasn't acting his normal self but kind of put it off as being depressed that I wasn't around much, but even when I go over there on weekends he just wasn't quite right. Turns out his daily dose needed to be upped a bit, so that should make him a bit more energetic and cut down his hair loss. Bubba picked up a bunch of her spring/summer clothes and things to move over to the other house so that was a bit depressing, but it is what it is. Farming will start soon along with the long work days so that'll ease the loneliness for a while anyway.
Great quotes this week Rava, sorry that I haven't been commenting more, but they do help!
It's quite funny but you'd think the people in Vermilion aren't the least bit concerned about Covid. Have yet to see anyone wearing a mask, hardly anyone wears gloves, and the groups of people are starting to appear for evening walks since the weather finally turned. Most people I've talked to say we don't have to worry out here in the rural area, it's the urban centers that are getting hit with it. There is some truth to that I guess because other than hand sanitizer and physical distancing, the whole pandemic thing hasn't affected me much. It is nice to see that Governments are starting to slowly move to getting things up and running again. I do like the way they are handling it, opening up in stages with enough time to watch if there is an increased spread or not.
Never heard of a Shark dill, but then again most people I know have central vacs or those new robotic ones lol
I see in the news that the Mayor of Vegas wants to re-open the casinos paulywogg. Do you think people will be smart enough to physical distance inside a casino lol.Last edited by abcowboy; April 23, 2020, 07:52 PM.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. Glad you were able to up Hanks thyroid meds, Cowboy. It will make a world of difference for him. Tessa's vet said her levels were too high and cut it back a notch. I have noticed a change in her activity level since. Acting less like a puppy, but more like a mature dog. She is doing well.
In my area covid is not much of a factor. I do see several people wearing masks when I am out and everyone keeps a distance. But there has been very little impact on my community. Mr. D has a bad knee for which he gets periodic steroid injections. Last week he was in such pain he made an appointment and was seen by his doctor. They took all the extra precautions of course. The doctor said that he thought it was time to loosen restrictions and that so many people were suffering for having to put off procedures, yet the hospital is near empty. No coronavirus patients. Interesting that most homes where you live have a central vacuum system. That's rare where I live. Previously I had a Hoover.
I am finding it a bit of a struggle to be positive at the moment. I'll have to work at it today. The weather man promises sunshine so that should help.
24 more please and thank you.Dill

Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...
Good morning and TGIF. Trying to stay positive in this mess sometimes can be hard. The warm sunshine is all thats about saving my sanity right now. Yesterday I was able to go back to my volunteer job and sort clothing. The shop is not open to the public but at least it gave a few of us something to do. I will take another 24 please and thank you. . This post makes me realize that I have to make today count!!Last edited by Rava; April 24, 2020, 06:40 AM.
