Jude and Ginger, I had a craft show written on my calendar for yesterday but in the end I also decided it was too "people-y" for me. (good word) I didn't go. I hope they did well. I had in mind to go to a particular jewelry lady whose things I like. It always makes me think of you, Ginger, although your jewelry is much different and more unique to you. That's what's wonderful about these craft shows. The craftsmen and craftswomen and their creativity!

Mul and Cowboy, I was covering my ears so as not to hear all your talk of SNOW!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Yep cowboy, sounds as though you will definitely need to pull out the snowblower if you're expecting almost a foot of snow. Tis the season I guess.

Ginger, there are several holiday craft shows going on in our area today, but I just can't seem to find the motivation to go. I agree with you in that sometimes they are too people-y. Love that word; says it all.

24 more for all of us please...

    Alligators, cool!

I don't mind a little snow shoveling either, here or there. I'm glad this current system isn't coming down as snow though, it's been raining cats and dogs since yesterday evening, and if it was all snow we'd probably have 3 or 4 feet by now.

ABC, Hubby's is wet. It started dry and he took vitamins for a long time and the docs watched it closely. A couple years ago, it turned to wet and the injections began. They are working well because it is back to dry now but protocol is to continue injections, so he goes back end of January. He's lost so much vision in that eye and that will not improve and can't be corrected with glasses. Sad!

it's the craft fair here today. I didn't get a table this year. Wasn't feeling it. Too people-y for me right now. Hoping instead to take an easy desert stroll.

Waves to all my pals! I'll take another day of freedom!

I just had a look at our weather forecast Jude, we have a winter warning in effect. We're supposed to have freezing rain starting late this afternoon turning into snow tonight with 10 - 12" expected by late Sunday afternoon with high winds along with it. Looks like maybe the snowblower will get it's first use of the season.

Yep dill, got out to the farm yesterday and all was good except for the icy roads and lane due to the freeze/thaw weather we've been having. Heat was working in both the pumphouse and shop, and no mice in the trapline in the camper lol.

Bubba's mom has macular degeneration as well Ginger, but from what I understand there are two types "wet" and "dry". There is no real treatment for the kind she has other than special vitamins that only slow down the progression. Glad Mr G can get something to help his.

Rava, we are not considering the root canal for Lily. We made up our minds that we will have it pulled, no doubt! The cost of the extraction covers the procedure, anesthesia, bloodwork, pain meds, etc. I think it's a fair price. Apparently canines are harder to extract than the other teeth because the root is really, really long.

Glad to hear that your husband's vision is benefitting from his treatments, Ginger!

Did you take that ride out to the farm yesterday Cowboy? If so, how were things?

    Waves to Jude and Mul.

Rava, that's pretty cool that you are able to go alligator watching. The only ones that I ever see are on nature shows, but maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Dill, that was the estimate for just the extraction, bloodwork and a cleaning. The tooth is broken but the pulp is not exposed and it's not bothering her in the least. If it becomes a problem I will have the tooth taken out.

We've had about 10 inches of snow over the last couple of days and it has really transformed the landscape into one of beauty.

24 more for all of us please...

I can't imagine seeing gators just laying around, Rava. Somehow, I think it would be pretty cool!

I've been told by vets over the years that animals are good at masking pain. They are not complainers like their human counterparts. I'm sitting hear listening to the coyotes sing. I love that so much. I also love, there's an 8ft fence around the resort. Lol

Headed toward a cooling spell. Should be in the high 60s a couple days.

Off to take hubby to his eye injection appt for his macula degeneration. The treatment seems to be helping!

I'll gladly take another day of freedom!

Pretty cool (no pun intended lol) that you got to see at least a couple of alligators Rava, from a distance I'm presuming haha.

It actually was quite enjoyable shoveling the little bit of snow we had and the temp got above freezing yesterday and stayed above freezing overnight. Think it might be a nice day for a drive out into the country and check on things at the farm.

Good morning Cafe. Dill, I hope you get it figured out. I would just get it pulled. Our little dog had 7 teeth pulled at one time and I found a cheap dentist that charged 700.00 for everything. This was about 10 years ago. The dog did fine and still managed to eat everything. Hope everyone has a great day. We saw 2 alligators resting on the banks yesterday. Usually we see more but with the temps in the 60s they are hiding I guess. 24 more please and thank you.

Jude, was that quote for extraction or root canal? I would take the wait and see approach too if it isn't bothering the cat. The canine Lily broke is badly broken and the pulp of the tooth is exposed which apparently can lead to infection, so we really have no choice but to do something in this case.

We are supposed to get up to freezing today. It's funny, but I know it will feel so good compared to these sub freezing temps we've been having.

24 more for all of us please.
