5:53 am in Vegas another 24,QW, hubs has gone to his gym but he cannot stand the smell of the sanitizer they use, he says it smells and looks like iodine, so he hasn't been going much but I guess we know they're cleaning it, sad for you about Mexico but I haven't done any travels either, I'm not so worried about myself, I just don't wanna expose my family to anything and I wanna enjoy my time not be hindered by rules when I'm on vacay, Rava, gorgeous pic, wishing everyone a happy AF Friday!

I read this yesterday and thought it has relevance to us in our journeys and in life in general.

You will be wrong sometimes. The key is to not stay wrong. An unacknowledged error is an error. An acknowledged error is an education. The Stoic Emperor (not sure who he/she is).

I too have been thinking about Tony. Hope he’s OK. And as Rava says, there’s no shame in coming back, especially to the Cafe. Tony’s always welcome.

Jude, what things are you looking forward to in retirement? For us it was travel. PD threw us a bit of a curve and now Covid restrictions but as we’ve often said, if we can’t go anywhere again, we’ve had some wonderful trips, seen beautiful scenery and met lots of great people.

I hope everyone has a great af Friday! It’s to be sunny & warm (for us) and that means barbecue for supper! Ain’t life grand?

Supposed to be oktoberfest weekend here, not happening here. Usually hundreds of thousands packing the streets. Might go get a bratwurst at a local German restaurant that has a large outdoor biergarten. No beer, though!
Pauly, heard the casinos were to open, and that over 1000 workers have tested positive, sigh.

I saw a news story on tv the other day about "smoke taint" in California grape crops being a possible problem. The fires came at a delicate time in the growth cycle of the grape crops. Hmm. Well, I am sad for the growers and the wine makers, but glad it's not going to be a problem for me!

Thanks for the quote QW! Its very accurate! Thats why I keep coming back. I have learned not to let a slip define me and set me into a state of depression as long as I own it and come back. We had planned to see our daughter in law and grandkids today but cancelled. Our son is taking his executive MBA and is in class this weekend. Our d-i-l has a Saturday brunch business plus they have plans with friends later on for a socially distant barbecue. She did suggest we come for a brief visit early afternoon but we felt it wouldn’t be a kindness to add yet one more thing to her busy day.

Pauly, stay safe. Hard to believe casinos have re-opened but not a surprise there are so many Covid cases.
