    Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Good morning Cafe superstars. Sending hugs and prayers to you and yours Pauly. I found this important bit of info regarding these pain/anti-inflammatory meds and COVID-19 vaccines:

Ibuprofen is sold under brand names like Advil and Motrin, while acetaminophen is sold under the brand name Tylenol, among others. You might take these over-the-counter drugs to help you address day-to-day discomfort or maybe you were planning to take some before your shot in anticipation of the vaccine's potential side effects. But there is one important reason experts suggest avoiding these medications before your immunization: they could blunt your body's immune response.

Have a great day. I’ll take another 24. Blessings x

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

Dill, can you share your recipe for cranberry nut bread? Mrs QW makes great cranberry loaf and this would be a nice recipe for her to try.

Our Parkinson support group meeting went well yesterday and it was nice to see three new members. Nice to know there are others experiencing the same challenges we are. And sadly, there are a lot of people in worse shape than we are.

I hope the transition of power in the US goes well today without any nasty surprises.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and af!

Pauly, I hope each day finds you feeling a little bit better. May your sweet sister rest in peace.

QW, here is the recipe I used. I found it in my old Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. I had never made it before. Here's the thing: I followed the recipe as written except for using grocery store orange juice instead of fresh squeezed. (I had orange zest in my freezer from a previous recipe.) But when I had it all mixed together the dough was way too stiff and dry. I'm not sure why. Anyway, I was afraid it would not turn out right, so I stirred in a half cup of half&half. Then the consistency was just right. So keep that in mind if you and Mrs. Q try it.

Mr. D just loves the way it turned out.

Sorry the pics posted sideways. I used to be able to select "square" when I took a picture with my iPhone and that eliminated the orientation problem. But that feature seems to have disappeared.

Looks like our mild weather is coming to an end, temps start dropping tomorrow, and hopefully the winds drop with them! It's been very windy here lately, yesterday the winds hovered around 70kmp (45mph) with gusts to 90kmp (55mph) and it was much worse in the southern end of the province!

Same situation weather wise here cowboy...cold, windy, and snowy! At least the mud is gone!

Glad that you and your wife have a support group that you can both participate in. I imagine that it helps a great deal to talk with others that are going through the same thing.

Another 24 please and thank you!
