First day back to work was great! I'm back with my former employer working with people that have Alzheimer's and dementia, and it's truly gratifying. It always makes me feel grateful for the things that I have in my life. (My memory for one thing)

Sorry that it's taking your fil so long to find a place abcowboy. Hopefully something will open up soon, although it's really sad that someone has to die first for a spot to open up.

Another 24 please and thank you!

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

The house inspection went well yesterday. I was concerned about the inspector being up on the roof in frosty conditions. No worries, he used a drone! We’re expecting the conditions to be waived by our purchasers today which puts us in a much better position tomorrow when we look at condos in Calgary.

Jude, glad your first day at work went well. I bet they’ve missed you. I’m sure working with people with dementia and Alzheimer’s can be frustrating at times but also very rewarding.

Mrs QW has an appointment for tests at our hospital this morning. She’s had new symptoms over the last few months so it would be nice to get answers as to what we’re dealing with.

Have a great af Tuesday everyone!

            Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Good morning Cafe friends. Trying to sell a $9k bicycle is a challenge living in a rural area. Have advertised in a some triathlon forums, but nobody wants to make a purchase like that sight unseen or not being able to road test. Tying to thin the herd of gear. I own five bikes, but the Trek Madone SLR 9 is the most expensive. I also have a 2018 SLR 6 which I’m keeping. Had a follow up with my doctor this morning. She encouraged me to give up training completely. That’s like asking me to give up pizza. Not going to happen. So, I’m looking for a new sports medicine specialist. I’m not in a good place. I won’t drink, although drinking was secondary to why I joined here 11 years ago. It was pain meds after a serious accident and some PTSD issues. They were compounded by alcohol. So, another 24 for me. Have the best day possible. Blessings x

P.S. Thanks for reading my rather long post. I tend to be on point, but I’m not in not in a great mindset right now. I am an optimist so this too shall pass.

Wow techie! I didn't realize how expensive a high end bike could be! Hopefully, you can sell it soon, but it must be difficult having to do so. Having to stop training competitively must be difficult for you, and I hope that you can find joy in the sport anyway. Keep your chin up and don't slide into old habits.

              I'm in for another 24!

In a way I kind of know how you're feeling techie, but as Jude58 said, "chin up". Things have a way of working out even if it doesn't look like it right at this moment.

How are things going with your house sale Rava? It appears as though Quit wining is moving along quite smoothly...

I knew Adam wasn't happy in his new job, it was just something to do until something better came along. And I also knew that he and Darcie were considering selling their acreage so they could move to the city where there are better job opportunities in his field of work. I didn't think it would be quite this quick though. They let the area neighbor's know that they were interested in selling, and they have a young couple coming to look at it Friday! I know the young couple quite well, their parents and grandparents have been area farmers and ranchers for decades so I think it'll be a good possibility that the property will sell. No more close family for me, but at least it's only a little more than an hour to where they will be moving to...

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

The first 2 condos we liked and wanted to see sold in less than a day so today we’re looking at 3 other units. There’s a lot of new inventory coming on the market every day so something will come along.

Techie, I hope you find a buyer for your bike at a good price. And I’d be looking for a new sports medicine professional too.

Have a great af Wednesday everyone!

Good morning Cafe supporters. Much better today. Things always have a way of turning around. There is no pressure to sell the bike. I think it was more the idea of it. Meaning, it was my way of moving on from competing. A friend of mine is going to take it to a training facility in La Jolla and advertise it there. Have a Happy St. Paddy’s Day. Irish blessings to all x

Lot's of changes happening around here. It's good to roll along with it sometimes. abcowboy I know it will be a little bit hard for you to see Adam And Darcie move. But as you so, it's not a great distance, so that will help. I am used to my daughter being so far away. It took a bit of time tho.

24 more please and thank you.

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
