Seems like QW was planning for his annual vacation in Mexico right about now when he was still posting with us. Ginger, I hope you find something out, something good. Ha! that reminds me of a book I read about 10 years ago called, Somewhere Safe With Somebody Good. It was part of the Mitford series by Jan Karon. I enjoyed that series.

We don't have a Costco close. I'd have to drive about 20 miles on country roads. It's not worth it in the dark during deer season! LOL

I haven't tried contacting QW here because I wasn't quite sure of his name. There are a couple Quitwinings. Sad to lose touch with those that come and go. I'm glad I know all of you outside of MWO. Dill, you're my only hold out but I totally get it!

Tweaked my knee walking down our stairs yesterday. Jeez! It's definitely my weak link right now.

Good morning Cafe. I hope all is well with QW and I remember how worried he was about his wife. The sad part about our group is that people come and go and we never know what happens. I miss Techie too. But we are anonymous and thats part of the appeal to being in this group. I hope everyone has a good and sober day. Going to my volunteer job today. I'm sure QW mentioned that they lived in Calgary, Alberta. It's about a 4 hour drive from Vegreville. I don't know of any way to get ahold of him, I tried through here a while back but didn't receive any replies either. Hopefully all is well with them.

Sure hope that QW and his wife are ok. Ginger, I know that he lives in Canada, but I'm not sure what part. Have you tried sending him a message through MWO? He may have changed his email address, but we don't really know.

Rava, I've heard that 6p is the best time to shop at Costco too. Apparently, people eat around then.

I didn't hear back from QW. That's twice I've emailed the past few months without a response. I checked with a friend that's acquainted with QW through the Parkinsons Facebook page. She said he hasn't checked in there in ages. Now I'm really worried! Does anyone recall where he was from?

Good morning Cafe and huge congrats to Jude! One year is amazing! Cowboy, sorry about not getting that deer but we know you will be searching for one next season. Ginger, I hope your knee is better but my gut tells me it’s not. Getting old sucks!!! Dill, glad you got out of that store before you became evil. LOL. We used to live near an outlet mall and we found the best time to shop during the holidays was during the week around 6 pm. Might want to see if that holds true for where you live. Dill, some places up North and to the west of us have been hit hard with Lake Effect snow and many spots have 4 feet of snow or more. We are only supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow here which is certainly manageable.

Sorry that you didn't get a deer this year cowboy, but as you said there's always next year.

Hope all you southerners enjoyed your turkey time... and the rest are enjoying your snow and cold, haha. Beautiful balmy 8C day here in the full-on sunshine, haven't had a a bluebird day like this in a while, made getting out into the wilderness that much more majestic! Nice work Jude58 !

There have been quite a few friends and family over to see my train setup dill, most are fascinated with all the detail and are amazed at all the things that can be done with a bit of imagination. It's quite amazing to see everything that is available, all the props and pieces in such a small scale to make things realistic. And my setup isn't the smallest scale, mine is HO scale but there is also an N scale which is very small.

Hunting season is over for Adam and I. We did see a few more deer yesterday than we have been seeing, but none that had our name on it lol. There's always next year...
