The number at the end of my last post was the current temperature here, but that's where the post got cut off. Very frustrating and if it happens again I will contact admin.

Keeping it short today in case I lose this post.

    24 more please...

Looks like your post came through without mishap today, Jude!

Rava, I did look up the model of ebike you included in your post. It looks perfect! Does Mr. R also us and ebike? I don't know if we will get one or not. I looked at the specs on it and it weighs about 62lbs which is not bad, but I know I couldn't lift it alone and currently Mr. D is having back issues. He went to a spine doc recently, had and MRI done and will return to the doc for consult. He couldn't lift it in his present condition without further aggravation to his spine.

Ginger, what a way to start the day! Thoughts of wine? I hope you managed to push them far away!

      Greetings Cowboy! Waves Mulburry.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

      Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Got through the funeral okay, it wasn't very big, I think the immediate family outnumbered the rest of the people but we did manage to get in a good visit with the few that were there.

Not much new happening here so let's all have a relaxing Sunday eh!

Good morning Cafe and thanks for breakfast Cowboy. Thats exactly what I needed this morning! Dill the bike is heavy and takes us both to lift it. There is a you tube video of how to store a folding rad bike into your car using big plastic cement tubs. Mr. R has the exact same bike as me. They are like little scooters. We upgraded the seats and got a mirror. Thats about it. Jude I am sorry about your posts getting lost. Sounds weird. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. It rained all day yesterday but the sun is out today. 24 more please and thank you!

Jude, that happened to me when I started a sentence with a number. It's probably got something to do with that. Probably a setting on the database server.

No drinking here despite yesterday's struggle! Had a lovely lunch then played conasta. I was surprised that three of the ladies were drinking. I thought they were all teetotalers. Oh well, I didn't and that's all that matters.

Thanks for breakfast, ABC. Waves to all! I'll take another day of freedom!

Thanks for breakfast yesterday cowboy! We all appreciate everything that you do around here, and this place wouldn't be the same without you.

Ginger, thanks for the advice on posting, we'll see what happens today.

Yesterday's breakfast was beautiful, Cowboy. Thank you.

Sorry you didn't get to see as many relatives at the funeral as you had hoped. But it sounds like you at least got to see several. I'm sure Bubba was pleased with that opportunity although the occasion was sad.

Granddaughter came yesterday to help set up the Nativity. We got it out later than usual, but better late than never. She always enjoys helping with that. I had her help me wrap a couple of gifts for her dad as well. I hope she can keep a secret! Ha ha.

We're in a rainy patch. The ground is mushy and will likely stay that way for a few days, then it's back to the cold temps and the ground will harden. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to that cold!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Our cold weather is supposed to move in tonight dill, but I'm betting it's going to be a lot colder here than there lol.

Off to Mannville this morning for my annual checkup and driver's license medical, sure glad it's today as -31C (-24F) is in the forecast for tomorrow.

ABC, I was testing my number theory. Hope your appointment goes well. I bet you're as fit as a fiddle!

Dill, you're so blessed to have that relationship with your granddaughter. So awesome.

Cold here right now at 38

...... the desert can get pretty chilly at night! Headed toward a warm spell the next few days though. Breaking some records!

I hate driving when there's black ice dill, I'm at the point now where I just don't travel if the roads are bad..
Ya that's one of my pet peeves of winter too, when it gets icey. It can be especially bad around here because it often warms up and then freezes again (which means ice). Both for driving and walking (and especially my mom has to be super careful). Luckily it's been mostly warm here so far, but forecast is calling for some freezing rain tomorrow so we'll see.

Pretty quiet here, just getting some things ready for christmas, tree is up and decorated, and got my last online xmas shopping package today, even though I had to go to the pickup place three times cause they kept claiming they didn't have it (I guess everyone's getting overwhelmed with the Canada Post strike).
