5:19am in Alberta, I'll have another 24 please, and thanks...

In the last 24 hours, these friends have joined in for 24 hours of wellness:
Jude58 dill Rava Ginger999 Slo Quit wining

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Great to see you again Quit wining, and huge congrats on your 6 years!

That's great news about your daughter's biopsy Rava, I'll bet you'll both rest easier now.

My doc is getting up there in years as well dill, that's why I started looking for other options.

Today I'm driving the male half of the Syrian couple to Red Deer (about 3 hours one way) for a medical test he needs done. Not sure why they referred him to a specialist so far away but that's how hard it is to get appointments here. He did get his driver's license but the car they have is older and high mileage so not sure if it can be trusted for the trip.

So enjoyed up warmup in the weather here, up to 50 F (10C) degrees here yesterday! I’m so cold in this condo otherwise.

So kind of you, Cowboy, and I hope it’s a smooth & pretty drive today.

I made an appointment with an eye doctor, but it’s a year wait before I can get in to see him; and I still have to jump through the hoops of getting permission to see him from my primary doctor, and making sure he’s even in-network with my current insurance provider.

Last day of work today, Jude!

So good to hear from you, QW! We quit, or more accurately had our quits stick, at about the same time.

That’s scary about your daughter, Rava, and what a relief. My 3rd daughter turns 32 today, so that’s three daughters who are getting up in age, therefore getting more vulnerable to health concerns / no longer have the bloom of healthy youth to protect them.

Wishing all of us a fine AF day!

Rava, great news about your daughter's biopsy! It must have been so stressful for both of you, but glad that everything is O.K..

That's so kind of you to drive your friend to his appointment Cowboy. It's good to know that there are still decent people in this world.

First day of retirement. What to do, what to do... I know what I won't be doing, so 24 more please.

I'm sure you're going to find many things to fill your days Jude, enjoy your retirement!

That's a long wait to see your eye doctor Slo, I'm presuming it's not just an optometrist?

The trip and Hayyan's procedure went well, it was a pleasant drive and a good chance to learn what it's like to live in a war torn country.

Good morning Cafe. So glad all went well with your friend Cowboy. You are so nice to take that family under your wing while they get established. Jude I hope you do nothing today. Just hang around and get your bearings of your good life away from the grind of a job. Slo, all this insurance stuff is awful. My good friend went to the ER last week for an urgent problem. The ER hospital was in her network but she ended up getting a 700.00 bill from the ER. She called to inquire why and it was because the treating ER Doc was not in network. Well how in the hell is the patient supposed to know that??? She is currently disputing this. It’s enough to make you drink….. OK today our neighborhood is having a corn hole competition. Mr R and I are participating. I doubt we will make it to the championship. LOL. Wishing everyone a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Rava, great news about your daughter's biopsy. So stressful! Good luck with corn hole!

ABC, thank you for being so kind to the immigrant family. How thankful they all must be for the opportunity to leave that war zone.

Jude, remind me.... isn't this your second retirement? Why do I think you retired then went back?

Unseasonably warm yesterday, which this snowbird would call HOT! It was 89! Cooling back down to the normal mid 70s. I'm starting to get the itch to migrate north!! Come on spring time.

Waves to all. I'm in for another day of freedom
