We've been having our typical spring weather Mulburry, lots of melting, then snow, more melting, then a bit more snow again lol.

Sounds like your brother is reaching out to you Slo and wants to spend time with you. Maybe he needs a family connection to feel wanted again. Sorry to hear about your neighbor, hopefully she'll come out ahead at the end of this.

Got a date set to head back north Ginger? Bet you can't wait to see the family!

Waves to all the rest of the crew on a peaceful Sunday, have a good one!

Slo, I'm in Wyoming now visiting my sister. On Wednesday we are leaving here for our road trip to Florida and will get there on Saturday. Sister's road trip! So glad that your brother is reaching out to you and letting you into his life a bit more. Hopefully, over time you can build a trusting relationship with him.

      Thanks for breakfast cowboy! Yummy!

24 more for all of us please...

Thanks for a hearty breakfast, Cowboy!

We awoke to snow today here. Brrr. I turned the heat up like a couple of you had recommended. I just can’t stay warm in here.

Hopefully you’re adjusting to the Western time zone, Jude -before you switch it up again!

Enjoyed the hearty meal and the time out at my brother’s house. I went with my twin sister. I have been so pumped that she seems to be finally AF! I was even thinking I’d like to invite her to live with me! …then, true to form, she got into the Guinness that my brother was drinking. So, I have to accept that she is still a drinker and will always be a drinker. I’m so bummed. I won’t live with her anymore under those circumstances. Been through that before.
Young Daughter came by for dinner & cards too! -and touched base with her cousins and uncle. She is on Spring Break now from college.

            Hi to all!

Sounds like you had an enjoyable time Slo even if your twin sister and brother are still drinking. You're still a reminder to them that they can quit drinking as well if they really want to.

The 26th. isn't that far away Ginger, have you guys thought anymore about selling your place in Arizona?

                  Have a great day y'all!

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! I can remember when I used to "party hardy" on this day every year. There's a part of Syracuse called Tipperary hill and it's full of bars with Irish names. Today those bars will be packed to the gills with drunks and other wanna be Irish people. I used to think that it was a good time, but not so much now.

No bars or booze today so here's to another 24 hours of freedom.

ABC, we are keeping the place for now. Neither of us want to deal with winter quit yet. We will sell our 5th wheel back home though. No way to tow it now! I wish you could come to WA and build me a she shed in its place.

Lots of work this week. Waves to all. I'll take another one

Happy St. Paddy's Day everyone! No drinking here but we are celebrating by making the corned beef and cabbage recipe shared by Rava.

Slo, it's a wise choice to protect yourself from being with a daily drinker. Maybe if you tell your sister you wish you could live together but you can't take the risk of daily exposure she will decide to quit. We can only hope.

Cowboy, thanks for that wonderful breakfast yesterday.

Jude, I'm so happy you are having a long visit with your sis. Just wonderful! As usual, I wonder what is missed out on, not having a sister... I loved all my brothers tho.

Ginger, it will be the 26th before you know it!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

I bet it was a delicious meal, Dill!

This year anyways you are far away from Tipperary Hill on St. Paddy’s day, Jude. That sounds like how Chicago celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in a big way too.

I can tell that my sister’s problem is that she doesn’t want to give up what booze does for her in social situations: she just loves becoming glib, funny, giggly, convivial, and more extroverted.
But if one intends to be AF, one has to want it bad enough to be able to give that up. But she values the temporary effects of alcohol more than the benefits of sobriety, despite the many negative effects that alcohol addiction has had on her life. Well, each to their own, I guess. We all have to decide this for ourselves.

Ginger, sounds like a good plan to keep the place in Arizona but drop the fifth wheel (the little truck-lette can’t pull that!).

Waves to all, and the luck o’ the Irish!

The corn beef and cabbage recipe was delicious! Mr. D and I are both fans of cabbage, so it was a natural for us. We both love pork chops with apples and cabbage which is very similar. Mr. D particularly liked the sweetness of the recipe you shared. I had never made corn beef before, so it was a fun way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, for sure! Thank you, Rava.

I think my next adventure in the kitchen will be to make a pineapple upside down cake. I've never made one. Mr. D loves pineapple, so.... I'll let you know how it goes. It won't happen today tho. We are meeting his brother and wife for lunch instead. It will be a pleasant outing. SIL sent us a picture in a text of the pineapple upside down cake she mad yesterday and promised to bring us each a piece when we see them. Mr. D was so excited about getting the cake that it is what got me started on my pineapple upside down cake project. Coming soon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful 24 hours of freedom.

I'll bet you're enjoying your visit without drinking Jude, and lots more great memories still to come with the rest of your sisters!

You're right Slo, everyone has to make their own decision regarding drinking, I'm just glad we all made the right one.

Enjoy your visit today with the in-laws dill, and the upside down cake. Hopefully yours will be a success when you give it a go.

I'd love to be able to build a shed for you Ginger, but I've got a cabin to finish up this summer lol.

Have a beaut of a day everyone! I'm not looking forward to my dentist appt this morning though lol.
