24 hours of freedom sounds like a good plan, Jude. I believe I'll join you! Are you completely over your recent illness? I have heard from lots of people that this virus just hangs on and on. My son and grandson both got hit with it and are still dealing with a cough. It's been 2-3 weeks.

Hope everyone enjoys another day of freedom and peace.

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

I hope you had a great day yesterday too, Rava, and hope the fizzy water felt adequate.

Dill, my brother had that illness with the cough that hung on for weeks after.

Lots of rain today. Another day of freedom, please!

Dill, yes I'm finally over the worst of whatever virus that I had, but I was sick for over 3 weeks. I was able to breathe a lot better after I got home from Florida. Apparently the humidity there is not great if you have any lung issues.

Yesterday was a tough day as we had to put one of our dogs down. He was 14 years old and had been having mobility issues for quite awhile. We knew that It was time when he couldn't get up at all, but it's gut wrenching to have to say goodbye. We buried him in a spot that overlooks the creek and I think that he will like it there. RIP Booker.

              24 more please...

Good morning Cafe. Jude I am so sorry for your loss. Booker was lucky to be part of your family. I am glad you are feeling better as well. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday. Off to volunteer today. Slo , the fizzy water technique in a wine glass for some reason makes me feel comfortable. Someone on Tik Tok mentioned that when someone asks her why she doesn't drink she states “For me, it’s just easier to abstain than moderate.” That is so true. I can’t moderate. It’s all or nothing. Not drinking at all is easier for me too. 24 more please….

Rava, fizzy water in a wine glass is a great plan, Rava. It makes the drink feel special to have a special glass. You are so right that it is easier for us to abstain than to moderate. Moderation is basically impossible for me, too.

Jude, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's always so hard to say farewell to our pets. He was lucky to be a part of your family.

                    Hi Slo, Cowboy and Ginger.

24 more hours of freedom, please and thank you.

Glad you're feeling better Jude, that's a long time to be sick. Sorry to hear about Booker, I'm sure you're going to miss him.

Waves to the rest of the gang, let's keep it between the lines today.

I can’t moderate anymore either, Rava -none of us here can. So, it actually is easier to abstain! That said, parties & gatherings can be hard, as it is harder to find that comforting drink. I like the idea of fizzy water (fun bubbles to make it special) in an artistic glass that also makes it celebratory and out of the ordinary!

So sorry about your rough day yesterday, Jude. It is so hard to have to say goodbye to our pets, and to have to facilitate their passing. You picked a beautiful place for Booker’s remains to rest.

I am heading up to D1’s house to babysit some today.

Good morning all, and thanks for your kind words about the loss of Booker. I miss him terribly, but I know that things will get a little better with each passing day.

Mr. J has to have surgery today to replace 3 of the knuckle joints in his right hand. Hopefully things will go well and he can get some relief from the pain.

Hope that everyone has a great booze free day!

24 more for all of us please...

Hope all goes well for Mr J today Jude, that's the first time I've heard about knuckle replacement, it's amazing what they can do now.

I wonder what Ginger's up to, haven't seen her in a couple of days.

The dental clinic called and my new teeth are ready. They are super busy now so the earliest appointment I could get was the beginning of June. She said it would be a 3 hour visit for the rest of the extractions and then the new teeth placement and that's why it would take that long to get in.

Waves to dill, Rava, and Slo, hope y'all are enjoying the spring weather!

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy, yay for the new teeth. Sorry it takes so long but the way time is going your appointment will be here in no time. Jude, I am curious about the knuckle joint replacement. I have been getting cortisone shots in my knuckle for almost 2 years. I didnt even know a knuckle joint could be fixed. I am invested in Mr. J.s surgery and recovery! Good luck to him! Hi to Ginger, Dill, Slo and Mul! 24 more please and thank you!!
