Mama, my morale has improved exponentially since I've found gainful employment.
I also reamed out STBX Mrs. Fen last weekend for treating my lawyer disrespectfully. Mrs. Fen swallowed her pride and apologized to my attorney. Of course, I did lie to Mrs. and tell her that my attorney was about to bail on us, which would have required Mrs. F to retain (3K) a new attorney for me at 300 dollars an hour. I don't care that it was a lie, it took her out of the driver's seat. This is supposedly a collaborative divorce, so she needs to be willing to go through a respectful process.
So far, we haven't had an outbreak of sickness at the health center, which is awesome for mid- January. I love talking with all the seniors...well, except for one feisty old gal. Her dementia has had the effect of making her very unkind. Not her fault. I wait until lunch time to clean her room. She's happy that way, and I'm happy.
Some folks are just there for rehab of one type or another. Others are there as the last stop along their journey. This place is so good to the residents, and the employees. It really makes a difference. All the employees seem so nice. So far, I haven't noticed anyone grumbling or complaining.

Good morning! Fen you are sounding so happy. I'm so glad that you're liking the new job. I'm sure everyone there is liking you too. Hopefully infections will stay at a minimum. Sounds like the job is a perfect fit. I'm glad you stood up to mrs fen. How much longer is this process?
Pauly, glad at least your not sick. Is it cold by you?
Mama, that is cold for Florida! Do you even own a coat?
Nora, hope your on the mend there too? Did mom get sick too?
So the airport runs are taken care of. I was up so early yesterday and ended up just going right into work. I was so tired, just dragging all day. I fell asleep on the couch for a bit then just went to bed. Today Mark and I are going to my parents house as Mark wants to document their histories. Both my parents had to flee their homes as children during the war. (They lived in Germany). I know it's hard for mom to talk about, dad not so much.
Have a good one my loves!

Hey all - still under the weather but wanted to say hi. I'm so much better and have been awake all day. But, still coughing my head off.
Fen - I'm so glad that this job is working out. Good for you for taking STBX to task for her attitude. You are right that this is supposed to be collaborative and she needs to be respectful.
Liz - that is great that Mark is documenting your parents history. That is so interesting. I am reading a book called 'Sidonia's Thread' which is about a mother and daughter who came to America after being in a displaced persons camp during World War II.
Mama - you are sounding good. How's your son doing with the no pot? When is he planning on joining the fire academy?"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Pauly - how are you doing? I hope you were able to fight off the sickness that your co-workers have. I haven't been sick like this in years! Very strange how it hit me. I think that maybe my resistance was just down and it caught up with me.
Sunny - it is WONDERFUL having you stop by. I am so glad that Naltrexone is working so well for you. Yes - it was a long road but you persevered. Fantastic.
Rusty - what are you up to?
I know that I'm missing some of my peeps and I'm sorry. I will try to be around more now. Busy trying to plan things for the wedding. We still have to find a place for the dinner after the wedding. Did I tell you that son & GF are getting married Feb 24? So, we've got a lot to do."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Hi, peeps. Sorry I've been gone. Going from zero work hours per week to 40 is exhausting. Plus, it's a physical job.
Nora, can't the bride's mom chip in and help find a place? People usually plan this type of celebration a year in advance. You shouldn't do it all on your own.
Liz, that does sound like an emotional day with your folks.
One of the residents is actively dying at my work place. : ( I wonder if she is still alive today.
