A little bit about me.

My name is NoraC. I am 57 years old. Married for 38 years. Our son is getting married next month - Feb 24.
I have been here for many years.....constantly starting and stopping. This is the longest alcohol free period that I have had in years. Too long.

I am Mama Bear. I turn 55 in a few weeks( hang me now) and I have been married 25 years in June and have two sons in their young 20's. I am basically modding right now, despite my recent vow to quit. I manage apartments for private owners in not so sunny Florida.
Nora - are you excited for the wedding?? I am.....and yes, that was a great piccie of you on FB.
Swerly - you sound so enthusiastic. Your job would physically kill me. I am so freaking proud of you. Are you wearing your Fitbit or whatever to see how manu million steps you take all day.

Out oldest daughter is a newlywed, I have a daughter soon to be 26 (valentines day) and a 22 year old son, still at home with us. I have been happily married 33 years. I've been here several years and like Nora have had many starts and stops. I have seen you on other threads and it'd be great to have you here.

Nora, how many people will be attending the wedding? Please tell me you will post pics of the wedding! I loooove weddings!

Off to get my nails done. Rusty I always think of you when I go. I have ventured into I chartered territory and am enjoying a variety of colors. Gotta tell you I love it. Then I am going shopping as there are sales everywhere. It appears we will be snowed in for a few days, so I need to get out when I can. Have a happy Thursday!

Techie,I am also in the New York area awaiting that storm. My daughter and her bf. are currently vacationing in St. Croix, due to come home late Saturday night. I texted and suggested they come home tomorrow if they don't want to spend days in the airport. Well see what happens. This is causing me a great deal of anxiety. Anyway snowblower is working, cars filled with gas, bought more dog food and I stocked up on Reese's and M&Ms. Outside of CJ not being home, we are ready.

Mama, I opted for navy blue today and I love it! I went shopping today and boy were the sales great. Bought a cute dress which will help me get my butt outta bed early for work tomorrow. Nothing like a new outfit to motivate. Got a couple of sweaters too.

I got a jawbone (fit it type device) fen and I would love to know many steps you log. I usually do about 6 to 7 thousand steps just at work! I wouldn't have it any other way actually. I'd be miserable sitting all day. Well off to watch jeopardy with my boys.
How's everyone else doing? Anyone know how Dottie is?

Hey all,was on reading this morning then closed the page and couldn't get back on,I did 10,000 steps by 5 am today,never again!think that's why I feel so paws-y,I had to bump that thread cuz it seems like every 30 days I feel shitty 4 to 5 days before,meh,hi Mr.V,Techie,Tmj,Mr.G,lots of visitors today I hope you guys don't get hit to hard Liz,kinda scary and I don'tblame you for being anxious, especially with your daughter flying in,I'd rather be in St.Croix,sounds like a nice vacay,I hate the 4 to 5 pm,nothing on t.v anyways hope everyone has a good night

There's only going to be about 15 of us at the actual wedding. They are getting married at the courthouse and the weddings are 15 minutes long. LOL But, there will be about 40 people at the dinner afterwards. So, that will be nice.

Mama - how did it go with the list for your drama? You are sounding good.....no not good.....great!

Rusty - you must be busy, busy. Hope you're having a great week.

Fen - how did it go with your Mom? Did she like the place? I'll bet you are exhausted. Even though you were always on the go taking care of everyone in your personal life - it has to be hard to be back to dealing with the job/people every day. I'm glad that you like it though.

Sorry for the late check in, but couldn't access the site earlier today. Ended up working about 12 hrs today. Just now getting home.

I'm 59, married 29 1/2 years, with one son, 23, still living at home. I've got a pretty damn good life, with a problem, that's why I'm here.
Big snow expected tomorrow here as well. A sixth grader could do the weather report better. 2-16 inches, but it might be freezing rain, or just rain. FFS, could they be any more vague. Might as well say we have no idea what the F is going to happen. And, they're paid (well) for this. Just like talking about the stock market.

Drama is settling down. It's great to have a boss I can talk honestly with. he has asked me to help Rex succeed by coming up with a list of goals. That is going to be difficult, but I am working on it.
I should keep track of how much I walk. I have no idea.
