Because of Lucky ... the lizard lives!

Lucky, your lizard tale was today my inspiration. I was moving a heavy empty pot from the patio and there he was. He was about 7 inches long, light brown with cream colored stripes. He was in the container with his body on the dirt and one foot resting on the side. staring at me. I stood there staring at him he stared at me probably 10 minutes waiting to see who would flinch first. I noticed how shiny he was. He didn't intended to hurt anyone, but I was afraid to leave him unwatched for fear he would go into my basement, and grow!! I normally have a scorched earth policy with all things reptile. But I thought of you Lucky how much you cared for the lizard in your house and how you even set spiders free. So closed the basement door and I walked away. When I came back he was gone and I took the container, so he does have to find other accomadations, but because of you he lives another day!

Please, let's treat all creatures with kindness. They are just struggling to get by like all of us are. They don't want to hurt us, so why hurt them? I know enough about Ecology to know we all need them. We hurt them enough with our pollution and population growth. Sometimes they are very cute when we look at them closely!!!

Rest in Peace, Bear. We miss you.

Heck no, Lucky's lizzard showed up at my daughter's when I was in Texas - plus showed up with a buddy to tell me how great we are all doing. They also told me that they loved being at Lucky's house, but since she was freaky they were moving to Texas where they would be well understood.

No, Texas has good crickets and my crickets said they do not like travel. You are on your own there.
