Originally posted by starty View PostMorning Satz, the weather here is not great for grave watching :haha:. Hope its better with you.
How is old mother Satz and young satz doing ?
She actually said to DD that I am a different person since I stopped drinking. She never really asked WHY I stopped just accepted it.
Who knew she'd even notice.
We really do fool ourselves that no-one notices.:egad:
Young Satz had another lapse last Sunday - but back on the wagon again.
He was coming home to collect car & got off bus and into pub.
Something must have clicked and he left pub & came home. But he had the taste for it and asked should he go down and listen to music later. I said no / his father said no - he argued the point - but didn't go.
Small steps I suppose.
He is now in a relapse group.
I am going to Concerned Person's group each week and the mantra is 'detach with love'...... I've yet to learn what that actually means -short of throwing them out to die in the gutter.
Dublin's city streets are full of these cases.

Morning, Army! Came across this info for an AF comedy performance in your part of the world. Possibly you can Google for other dates and places? Sounds like great fun to me, and would love to get together with you all and attend, if that were possible. It's been awhile since I wet myself laughing.
Fancy a good laugh to brighten up the winter nights? Why not come along to Alcohol Concern’s Dry Humour night next Wednesday, February 10th, at the Leicester Square Theatre in London? Jo Brand and Paul Tonkinson will be performing (amongst others)

Hope things fall into place for young Satz. I feel for him, I knew I was not a normal drinker 10 years ago but was not ready to take it on then. He will get there.
Sunny - have a safe trip and a blast at the birthday party!!AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:
