Really? Just lost my very long post. Nora, you look great! I don't see where the 80 pounds need to come off!
I did skim over the posts and will comment more tomorrow.
Hubs and I had another investment dinner/ seminar tonight and my head is spinning with all the info. Sat next to CJ s friends grandmother. Have not seen her since the girls graduated high school. She is a lovely women and I had such a good time. Promise to post more tomorrow.

Going to try to write a little bit. So far, having a moment to myself hasn't happened this evening. :nutso: Seriously though I am feeling better. It helped to just vent. So thank you. We're having a nice evening. Mom has been awake and talking, engaging with us tonight.

SK - I am so sorry. I can not even believe that they did that to you. I mean seriously to act like your injuries were no big deal. Then to give a notice to evict with no warning or discussion. Can't wait for Mama to check in so you can get expert advice.

Fen - how goes it with your sister moving your Mom? Have they started going thru things yet? I do think that assisted living can be so beneficial so many times. I'm so glad that you had a good day. This just seems like such a good fit for you.

Pauly - I meant to tell you. That my therapist helped me with my anxiety. I really hope that this helps you too.

Mama - when you are onsite, is it a one location or do you go from place to place. I've been so curious about what you do. Do you go and look over different properties? You negotiated and got new clients. Seriously - wonder woman!

Rusty - where are you this week?

Liz - did you work today? I don't think I saw you here today. I'm going to go read back.

Going to post this before something else comes up.

Nora, mom has managed to way-lay sis tonight. I am so tired of all this. Sis texted me an hour ago saying that mom kept her busy all evening. I reminded her of the plan that mom agreed to and asked "So, you both got mom on the waiting list (at middle class senior assisted living place- let's call it "Snickering Sycamores"), right? Well, no. I reminded sis that the plan was to get mom on the waiting list at Snickering Sycamores, take a tour of the two bedroom apts. (really, why else did sis drive up here tonight?) and figure out mom's savings to see how long she could afford Snickering Sycamores on her own before her rapidly depreciating hovel sells.

Mom is a master manipulator, but sis is going to need some training in this department.

I love you all. Heading to bed soon, as I must be up before dawn these days.

Liz - I know that my head would be spinning! That is so neat that you sat next to that grandmother. What a small world.

Fen - I'm sorry that sis didn't get things taken care of. But, she will have to learn the little 'quirks' that might get in the way. Hope you have a good nights sleep. Oh - today in the car, I was listening to one of the CD's that you made for me. So cool. Thank you.

Pauly - I am really interested in hearing how you feel cutting out all artificial sweetener. That is probably a lot of my problem too. I read about those side effects. Eeekkkk.

Nora, the dress is perfect. The pounds and the tiredness don't matter, they're just the price we pay to have acquired all our wisdom! The important thing is that you look classy and elegant and your son will be so proud of you!

Nora, you look fantastic! You are one beautiful mother-of-the-groom!!! I love the dress you picked out. Very becoming and I love the colors.

                      You have terrific skin.
                      You have an infectious smile.
You have beautiful eyes...so bright and twinkly (lucky girl).
You ooze love and compassion...perfect for the bride who has longed for a loving relationship with her mother, never got it, and is lucky enough to get you as a MIL.
You're perfectly chesty. Chests are good! Private joke and I'll let you in on it. When I was a radio news reporter MANY moons ago, the station manager was this really uptight guy, and he saw a LINE DRAWING of how to give yourself a mammogram in the local newspaper that was sitting in our newsroom. He threw done the paper and said, "OMG...dirty pictures in the newspaper!!!" So, the disc Jockey at the time laughed and said, "Rusty, there are no more breasts. From now on when you eat dinner, they will be called chicken chests, not chicken breasts!!!" So whenever we went out to eat, I would say I would like the "Chicken chest sandwich!" LOL

NE- Welcome back!! So glad you came back from MD before the storm hit. A few tips for you to get the two AF days under your belt. There's a podcast called "The Bubble Hour." A number of people on the Monthly Abs Thread listen to it...very good support for people struggling to get sober and affirmation that sobriety is a wise choice. If you're going to sit on the couch, then this will give you a nice diversion from thinking about AL. ;-). You know it takes AL 48 hrs. to totally get out of your system...so try to give yourself positive motivation for making it two days, One Day At a Time. Years ago, to motivate myself to begin my AF journey, I started a thread called, "What I Accomplished Today Because I Did Not Drink." It made me feel SO good and I got a lot of positive feedback. Why don't you make a list of things you want to accomplish today..it can be a list of two things...and try and accomplish them. Just my thoughts.

Hey kids, I have a report that's due in a couple of hours so I got to fly and then my close friend is taking me out to lunch for my b-day. F-f-f-fifty-five today.

Big hellos and hugs to everyone else.:hug:

Hey all, Nora,I love the dress you do need a color though,so do I but I hate coloring my hair! I always used to drink before I did it so its kinda triggery,I only have greys at the temples and usually just pull them out but there's starting to be more strands throughout, Fen,you sound happy with the job,I don't know if I like that name for the retirement home, kinda silly,I pass one everyday one the way to work called "assisted aristocrat" kinda weird,I also pass a rehab that to me is in a weird spot, right in the center of the city,to me it should be somewhere on the outskirts where its peaceful with no traffic and tweakers walking by all day,did a half assed walk this morning, oh well,is anyone getting my PM's? I've sent a few but Nada, hello to all,off to find food, have a wonderful Wednesday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Hey Pauly-I cracked up (pun intended) about you and the see-through bathing suit story!! I needed a laugh yesterday so thank you for providing me with one. :-) Your story reminds me of the time I was 11 and I was with my parents on a drive to North Dakota for my brother's wedding. My dad wanted to go for a swim in the hotel pool and forgot his suit. So he sees there are men's swimsuits offered in the hotel VENDING MACHINE. The suit comes in this teeny little box because it's red and it's like a Speedo, except, no coverage if you know what I mean....and it's perfectly see-through. Um, he didn't go swimming!! HAhahaha
