Had a good few slugs of caffeine..........my eyes are vaguely open.

Our Jenny has resigned from her 16 hour a day job and is moving back to York..........it happened last week and to be honest I haven't heard her sound so well and happy for ages. The idea of getting married in the back end of beyond has also been chucked out of the window and these are her own words.............'I want a marriage.........not a fancy wedding' Well I nigh on fell off my chair.
Sure there'll be some belt tightening and nights out might be a thing of the past for a few months.

Hey Jacky...whew, thanks! I have these anxious moments when I start a thread!

Sooo....is Jenny getting married at home...and are you to be Mother of the Bride????

And Mr and Mrs JC are funding this, I presume?

Christine married in 2012, so recently enough to know what gives in that department! Very exciting Jax, 1st rule...enjoy every second of it...no, no...make that every nanosecond. with only daughters, that is key! and Congratulations! :welldone:

No we're not funding it............helping out. Just haven't got the funds. Between the his family and ours and what they've saved there'll be enough to give a good show. She's always wanted Bess as the ring bearer and because she's getting older (the dog not Jenny) by the minute she'd better get a shift on.

It'll either be up here in Newcastle or a 100 or so miles down the road in York.

                That all sounds fab.

With Tony's being so ill for so long, we couldn't aford it either. Chris and Ed helped, and Ed's parents provided the venue on their farm down in Lady Grey about 800km away.

I bought Chris' dress and shoes though...as the Mom, I insisted on that one! :happy2:

My gas meter has packed in since friday so waiting on Bord Gais to come and fix it. [I]also have a bruised or cracked upper rib since tuesday and i'm sick of the daily pain and trying to get rough the day with pain killers and cream. It could take another 2 to 3 weeks to heal so i'm trying to rest in between struggling with every day chores. My school reunion went very well on friday and i have a few pics on face book. I have an electeic heater on which isn't giving out great heat so not a happy camperwith the pain be worse.

Hi Satz yes it was af beer called paulito it was nice with a cool light taste i just had the 2 large bottles. i sometimes have af beer when the odd time i go out as i get sick of sparkling water. There is another called Erdinger which is nice also or becks af but the bottle is small and almost as dear. To be honest non drinkers don't do too well on evenings out for choice as soft drinks and af beers are dearer or nearly as the real thing. i never tried af wine out so don't know it its available or value to have. I fell the sunday we were to meet at my bus terminis hiting my right foot and left side. Last tuesday i was hoovering and what ever way i turned it snapped and been sore ever since but my foot is almost ok now. If it doesn't feel better by the weekend i'll go to A&E or my gp.
