Mr M sleeping off a hangover. Wish it was January again
I'm the opposite Mers - Mr S has given it up for Lent and driving me mad mooching around here.
I'd gladly give him the money for a few pints.

Well he just cleared the bedroom (we were all having a love in) with a beer fart. Got my flowers though!

MrM is not a quite man - normal, well able. He didnt change much in his personality, just his outlook,. We had a talk about me for the 1st time during this period - think he finally 'got it' then. More supportive now.

Satz - are they blue boat type jammers?? (I am wearing these!)

Relate to a lot of this molls..
We might be a bit behind you, but getting there.

Off to get this gang organised. Zoo this afternoon!!

Morning all. Just been for a lovely walk to a country park. Chilly but exhilarating

I got nowt for valentines. Never do, but that is fine. My boss was horrified that I wasn't getting Mr S a card or anything.....made me feel a bit bad but we have never done valentines.

Mr S still drinks but I don't really notice a difference when he does or doesn't. He perhaps falls asleep in front of the telly more maybe but he isn't really different. Doesn't really bother me now, I have stuff to do that I enjoy while he is enjoying his vino so its OK

Other people drinking or smoking never bothered me either, still doesn't. It bothers me more talking about it on a quit forum TBH. I can be feeling fine, log in here and then suddenly fancy a hit.

                    We are all different eh?

Yes we sure are. I also think it depends on our mindset. Mostly when chatting about it on a quit forum I am grateful for my sobriety but I guess if we are a bit shakey it can trigger. I know of a lot of folk who it does trigger. For me I need to keep it in the forefront of my mind

I still love my nicotine though. Don't smoke but I chew the gum and vape :haha: need one bad habit

What ? Our talking about alcohol on a quit forum bothers you KY ?

Morning and Happy Valentine's Day..............apart from the fact I can't abide Valentine's Day and haven't since I was 14 and got a card from someone I thought was my dream boy and turned out to be from someone 2 years younger :egad: I've decided to embrace the day.

It could be worse, I could be filing.

                            It's how MWO works.
It helps to know that someone else is experiencing what we are - and that it's 'normal'. As humans we all strive to be 'normal' from an early age........ I think that addicts put up a fight against this conforming .... but eventually we all give in. Makes life easier.

As Starts says it is usually in gratitude and ''thank feck that's not me any more'' way when we discuss drinking.
