Weirdly... Yes.

I left for nearly a year and worked on quitting fags..... Never thought about alcohol at all till I logged back in. Same thing happens when I log into my smoking quit forum now......makes me want to smoke.

Or perhaps listening to 'relapsers' leaves the door open for someone who still weak to give themselves permission to drink too .......

sort of understand that too -- mostly the only time it enters into my thought system IS when I'm on mwo -- it's not negative thoughts or positive thoughts it's just acknowledgement thoughts as in -- drink exists -- it doesn't literally exist in my world now -- having said that I've a kit hen full of hung over folks -- wouldn't swop with them for a billion gold bars!!

I love hangover (ed) people.
And it's amazing to me why they put up with the pain - and don't go have 'the cure'.

Afternoon army i don't do Valentines day either or it never did me lol. I can't remeber the last time i go a card or anything apart from nice posts from fb friends. I have never been out on a romantic Valentine's night or a weekend away in my life. Or if i were it was forgettable as i have no nice memories lol. I put a funny sarcastic post on fb. Let acccowboy get on with it if thats how he feels whatever works for him. i read and i have no comment for it. Just because its a support forumn doesn't we can't discuss other stuff and have a laugh or a banter when we like. It would be a boring depressing site if all everyone talked about alcohol getting sober and other recovery stuff comstantly. Jaysus that would drive you to drink lol. Balance is always key i think.

Think I've said it before for my shame when I went to AA there's one or two meetings I've come out of and gone straight into a pub. Always 'confessed' at the next meeting and apparently its not uncommon.

We're living sober here. Giltzy, with all its up and downs.......ins and outs.
