More sentimental tears..........not sad tears..........an experience I wouldn't have missed but can never repeat.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Never say never, JackieClaire!! You just never know what cloud with a silver lining is coming your way. And when it does - and it will - the coffee's on me - right here - at whichever little cafe your heart desires.

Don't forget - RyanAir has a zillion flights to Greece anymore and with good rates to boot. And when you get here, you've got a room at chez Stirly's waiting for you and transportation to wherever in Greece you wish to go. And that's a promise.

Hiya Satz!! Hope all is well in your corner of the world. Working from home today or a day off?

True, as long as every jelly fish for a 100 miles have been re-homed.

I must away to the kit hen and make some dinners........thought you'd like this before I disappear into the land of peeling potatoes.

Retired bricklayer and part time fisherman Joao Pereira de Souza, 71, from an island village just outside Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, discovered the tiny penguin languishing on rocks in 2011.

And Stirls, don't be a stranger.

Hi Mary! Any and every Army member welcome for a visit but ya gotta leave the rest of them home so we can get out and about and create havoc without anyone to cramp our style!! My sister was over for three weeks in October for younger son's wedding and we were out til lunchtime almost every day and then back out again for the evening. Got me a two-seater convertible and we had a riot driving everywhere we could think of later in the day, after hitting the shops or sightseeing in the morning! Great fun it was!!!inkele:

Ah, loved the penquin story. They are may favourite creatures after doggers. Would love to have one for a pet.

You off for a while then? How many potatoes do you have to peel anyway??

Nope.............got surrounded by the blighters when I was having a swim......scared me witless. You've never heard a scream so loud and an exit from the sea quicker. And the revolting things used to wash up on the beach.

Felt like hundreds but I had to make a curry and pie as well.

                        Evening Troopers!!

Hiya Mary!! Dull day here but fairly warm - up to about 17C, so I can't complain.

Can't say that I'm crazy about jelllyfish myself, Jackie. I remember one time swimming and there were tons of them in the water. Did'nt take me long to get out of there, either. Younger son got stung by one onetime. Nasty red welts, painful and itchy. Not fun....

Well, how many people were you cooking for? Sure took you long enough to get out of the kit hen. But then I guess you and Bess prolly had to have a nana nap at some point....

Just the 3 of us.........son & heir and his GF moving to his own house soon. So there'll be two plus Bess then.

'Course we had a nanna nap :happy2: I'm at work at the volunteer place tomorrow and Friday. I need to gather my strength.

These blessed jellyfish seemed to appear from nowhere.....shudder.

Oh my goodness me! It just started to rain cats, dogs and frikken elephants and there are bolts of lightning as well. As real storm!! Haven't had one in months. Good for our gardens....

Glad to hear you're still at the volunteer place, Jackie. I wish there was something like that close to us. Going down to the centre of Athens is a trip in itself if you take public transportation and gasoline and parking in the city are too expensive to even consider driving.

Its a new place near the river. Its blooming awkward to get to, but its soooooooooooo busy. No time for crosswords. 4 office staff and about 25ish case workers...........hard to tell they all seem to whizz past at the speed of light.

Well, good for you that you are still volunteering there. Seems to me it's been a few years now that you've been giving of your time. :goodjob:

Hate to leave you alone in the barracks, Jackie, but I'm off to plead with the Sleep Fairy. She hasn't been too helpful the past couple of nights so hopefully I will sleep better tonight.

                                Wishing you and the Army...
