One Step at a Time April

Hey guys, am I the only one who realized it's April?

Posted a long post on March and decided to come here and start April. Hope you find me over here.

AG, happy belated birthday! Have a wonderful time on your getaway. A little slip up yesterday. Sorry your not feeling well. My hubby watches me too:heartbeat:

Rusty enjoy South Carolina. Relax, you have earned it! I hope you have a ton of fun and sun!

Mama, does the ibuprofen help the tooth at all? Nothing worse than a tooth ache.

Really Skendall? Wow, I don't even know where to go with all that's going on with you. Somebody somehow has to be able to help you out. That's just crazy. Not to mention the neighbor with the drugs?

Ne I will be checking in on the new site.

Nora you're sounding good. Your really doing amazing. More wedding photos yet?

Mr. V. Techie, Pauly, how are you guys doing?

Hubby & I were going to have a date night. The kids offered to stay with grandma and even bought us movie tickets. There wasn't really anything we were that excited about seeing so we decided to go out to dinner. Hubby not feeling well, then a young girl (maybe 10) fell and hurt her knee. Paramedics and ambulance came. I think I overheard that she had previous surgeries on her knee and that's why she was hurt. She didn't fall that hard, I saw it happen. So, that was sad. Anyway, we came home after that and hubby has been feeling so crummy. It's just been a really long night here. I'm breathing and I know that irritates him. :rotlf:

An old kittie of ours (doesn't really live here anymore, just comes back & visits occasionally) showed up tonight. Something is wrong with his foot, he is not putting any weight on it. So, we debated taking him to the vet tonight but decided to wait until tomorrow. He doesn't seem to be in pain unless he tries to put weight on it. He's happily sleeping in his chair actually.

Well - I guess I'll stop complaining for a few minutes. I'm sure I'll think of something else soon though. LOL

Sorry about your evening Nora! What is wrong with hubby? Did you at least get to eat?
I hope kitty is feeling better. It was nice of the kids to let you guys go out. I want to know how you get those graphic things, they are so cute. Don't ever feel like you're complaining too much Nora. You don't usually and honestly I enjoy your long posts!

I am finally feeling much better, thanks for asking. I slept until 9:30 this morning which is unheard of! Can't remember the last time I did that. Sadly I came home from work last night and CJ was in her bed, with a fever coughing. I made her chicken soup, drew up a bath for her, Advil and tucked her back into bed. Took me back to when they were little! Anyway the fever really freaks me out and she has a terrible cough. Of course this is the kid with no health insurance. She assured me she would address that Monday morning! Then this morning Mark wakes up with a sore throat. I feel terrible, I got everybody sick!
No plans for today. I was going to wash the windows but it is raining today. Maybe I will just start on the inside ones. Off to kick it into mommy mode and tend to my little sickies.

                      Hi all, snowing here, YUCK!!

I hope everyone is doing well. I feel back to normal, luckily I only get sick for a day when I do so all is good.

Rusty, when does your vacation start? Is your back better?

Nora, sorry date night didn't go better. I hope your kitty is feeling better (and your hubby). That was really nice that your son and DIL watched your mom so you could go out. How is your mom doing?

Techie, how old is your mom? Is she still is good health? I hope all goes well with the move.

Mama, are you having date night tonight? Could you send some warm weather up this way??

Liz, how are you doing? You have a twin sister right? So do I. Do you guys live close to each other?

Pauly, how are you doing today? Please check in.

Skendall, so sorry about what you are going thru. And that neighbor, WTF!!!

AG, how are you doing today?

I have to get going but just want to say thanks to all of you for being here. Lots of love to everyone here!!

Red, I didn't know you had a twin. My sister lives less than 10 miles from me. We are close but this whole drinking thing has kind of made things weird with us. Little by little we are getting back to "normal". Are you and your twin close? Are you identical? We are. So much guilt and self hatred with this drinking stuff.

Hi Liz, my sister lives about 10 miles from me too. She has never had a problem with alcohol and she definitely got all over me about my drinking. We are identical too! She has 3 kids and I have an almost step daughter (my roommates daughter who I have helped raise since she was born). I was not able to have children of my own, that was one of the issues that led me into my drinking and alcoholism.

She is my worst critic and my best friend. Because we are so close, we also can get into serious arguments and not talk for weeks (that happens every couple of years). Do you ever do that with your twin?

So sorry your family is sick. I am a natural caretaker, so I kinda like it when people get sick and I have to take care of them. It makes me feel needed.

Red, you are a nurturer! Many people who nurture put others before themselves and my hand is up!

For the sake of pouting go give hubby a hug, after you're finished on the computer, lol.

Aww Nora, you deserved a good date night. I'm sure kitty enjoys coming back and I'm sure you've checked her paw. Peggy once did that and I found a thorn. I love watching snow from inside as it gently falls in the twilight - and that's it, lol. Coming from Canada I've had plenty.

Techie, how is mom dealing with the move from east coast to west coast?

I have nothing planned today, so I'll catch up with recorded tv, not much pain involved with that!

                            Everyone have a good one.

Very sweet of you to ask. My mom will be 90 is several months. She has excellent cognitive ability but does have some medical challenges. The most concerning is macular degeneration and some hearing loss. I will have her assessed for hearing aids when she moves. Thanks again!

Ne my mom moves end of month. Thank you!
