Aww Pauly, I'm sorry. My coworker is like that too. My boss finally called her on it and for now she has not called in. Btw, whip hike I was in Poland my boss had a stroke. She is out of the hospital now and in rehab. She's going to be out awhile. Talk about too much stress.

Mama, wish I could work in my Jammie's. What ever happened with nanas accident?

Just walked Lucy, it's still so warm outside. It's 8:30 and I'm still awake:eek-new: getting up early tomorrow and going into NYC to see the taping of a tv show, The Chew.

Nana's car had been totaled and we have met with a second attorney to set up an "irrevocable" trust. This is attorney number 3 and we have one more to go.
Pauly- I am sorry you had to go in. I remember when Lizz has the co-worker that did the same thing. That's a shame about your boss LIzz.
Today I had to get dressed and out on make up and go out in public.....wahhhhhh. I actually get a lot more done at home coz I have fewer interruptions.

I have been in touch with Skendall and she says hello. Like a few of us here...she is dealing with major issues but she is a very strong woman and long-time sobriety definitely is in her favor.

Hey guys. So CJ was on TV today for the taping of The Chew! So exciting. We had lots of fun in the city. Then we come home and the air conditioner isn't working. UGH!!! It's 86 in the house. The guy is here now and apparently we need a new compressor which I'm sure will set us back a lot of money, always something.
Anyway, I'm off to bed. Feeling like I'm coming down with something. I sure hope not,

Red I hope you’re OK and that your horrible flatmate leaves without too much fuss. Do you have anyone that can be there with you when he leaves to make sure he doesn’t take or destroy anything that isn’t his, or leave anything horrible behind? I’m so sorry for his daughter but she sounds very lucky to have you in her life. Your new baby sounds adorable. I think it’s lovely that you’re allowed to take him into work. That must boost everyone’s spirits!

Rusty – my foot is about the same thanks. I’m seeing the orthopedic surgeon on the 8th and hopefully if it’s healing I can start to have some time out of the boot. Although I must admit, I’ve become quite attached to it – at least everyone gives me a wide berth when they see me stomping towards them on my crutches. I’ve also been the butt of numerous jokes at work. In one day last week I was: compared to Frankenstein’s assistant Igor, told I give people nightmares thinking about hearing me coming down their hall at night and asked how long it is till ‘talk like a pirate day’. Lucky I have a sense of humour!

Mama – I get SO much more done working from home as well. Not just because it’s quieter, but I think if people need to make the effort to call you they make sure it’s worth their while and they have all the info they need to discuss on hand, rather than just popping in whenever they have a ‘quick’ question. Also, why does Nana have to protect her assets? Is it because she’s unable to prove she wasn’t at fault? Gosh that’s an awful situation for someone of that age to be in.

Liz –being an Aussie I obviously had to Google The Chew but it looks like fun. I love all those behind the scenes looks at TV shows.

Nora – how’s day 305 going for you sweetheart? I saw Lizker’s ‘countdown to 365’ post the other day and immediately thought of you. That won’t be long for you now – can you believe it!

Pauly I hope your workmate calling in sick didn’t give you too much of a hassle.

Classy Glassy-I work from home, too. Monday is a holiday for us in the US...Memorial Day. So, I am working at home today, and happily chatting with you. Glad your foot is better and I could tell you have a great sense of humor. I could not stand to go back to work in an office...in a cubicle...surrounded by people I wanted to slap every day. Nope. Not for me. I've worked out of my house for almost 18 years and owned my own business for a decade and there's no turning back!!

AG-you asked me what I do...I don't want to give too many details here without PM'ing you. I am a quality auditor, trainer and consultant. I don't audit finances, though. It's a very lucrative industry and I do well but I work A LOT of hours. Thanks for asking. :-) Glad you had fun with your German teacher.

We're having a small yard sale in the morning. Our last block sale got rained out so here we go again. So, I've been going thru stuff to get rid of. I need to do this full time for about 5 years and MAYBE I will have got thru the first layer.

Oh - thanks for the congrats. I had to laugh at myself because I had miscounted the days. :stupid: At least it's more than I thought instead of less. LOL But, I am getting there and it makes me happy. Hubby can have a beer once a year no problem and he used to drink like a fish. But, I don't think that will ever be an option for me. And I am ok with that. Again, never thought those words would come out of my mouth.

Hi all
Glassy ,so good to see you. SIL broke her foot about a year ago and was miserable. I feel for you. It is good that you have a sense of humor.
The young man that was killed in the accident had been married 15 days and had a blended family of 5. We finally got a notice saying "failure to yield at a yellow light"...BUT...she was all the way into the Walmart parking and the young man zipped "around" a truck and slammed into her. Insurance max is $100,000 but the family has hired an attorney. He was unemployed and uninsured, too.
It's just tragic all the way around.
