Hi all..
AG - how are you doing? How is hubby?
Rusty - how are you doing? When do you go home?
aihfl - interesting discussion today in the Nest. Thank you. I wasn't able to comment much because I was at work. But, I enjoy reading the different views. Always learning something here."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Well - I still don't see you Pauly. I hope that you are feeling better - rough way to start a week.
Liz - how are you doing? What day are you leaving? Have you talked to your Dad again? How's your sister & her family doing? Oh - Liz, big hugs.
Red - I haven't seen you around for a while. How are you?
Techie - how nice that you got to spend the day with your Mom. I owe Fennel a LONG e-mail. I'll tell her that you said hello.
Mama - how are things going? Any news on your move? I'm glad you had a good day with Nana.
Glassie - how is your foot? How much longer in the cast? I don't know how many pieces are in my puzzle. It's so old that the box doesn't list it. LOL When it's completed, it is 14" x 24 1/8". (They put that on the box )"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Spent the afternoon with hubby at dr appointments, radiation and labs. Good news - despite falling over 8 feet and not remembering where or how he landed, he is ok. No fractures, no chips. Now, just trying to get him to rest and take it easy.
I did not have my day 1 today : ( I'm thinking I should take a break too . . . too much drama. so sorry.

Hey everyone else - good to see you. I do come and lurk sometimes but have not read back - hope that everyone is doing well. I am feeling really good - it took some time to actually get used to life without AL - it is amazing how much it changes things and it was hard to get used to living without it - things like, that I used it as a safety valve without even realising that. Anyway I hope that you are all doing well. Nora - I know that you have been AF for some time now and I am SO proud of you. Jan - you too are doing well, although you have SO much going on - hugs to you, Rusty, Skendall, sorry about the pain issues that you are having (hope I have that right - as I said I have not recently read back), Pauly - good to see you too and keep keeping on - you try so hard and I know you will eventually get to where you want to be - you do so well though I think! Liz - it sounds as if you are doing well too ...... I heard from Fennel a little whole ago and she is doing well too. Lots of others that I should say hi to - sorry for not - got to get ready for work.
Hugs to you all, Sun xxHow simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

Thanks Sun . . . I have not read the book. What is the title? That would be really helpful I think to have that to read.
I didn't take the Nal last night. I tried 25mg a few weeks ago and it knocked me silly. I could hardly talk. I had too much to do last night as far as son's activities so I was afraid to try it even at a lower dose. I need to start with 1/4 of a pill I think.
I'll keep trying . . .

Hope everyone is having a good morning. I got my latest lab results back and I'm happy to report that liver enzymes and bilirubin counts are back to normal (23 AST, 36 ALT and .4 total bilirubin). I still have a smidge too much bad cholesterol (102 vs. below 100) but my total cholesterol is below 200 (182) and my triglycerides and ratio of HDL to LDL is normal. I'm also still a smidge Vitamin D deficient (should be at least 30ng/mL and I'm at 28), which is ironic because I live in Florida and I'm outside ALL the time. I was prescribed 50,000 units of Vitamin D weekly last year, so it's time to go back on them. Good to know I'm back on track with my health. When I was in detox my liver enzymes were over 100 and my total cholesterol was nearly 300 (291). What a difference just a month and a half can make.
I have the day off today, so although it looks cloudy and like it's threatening rain, I'm off to work on my sailboat.First, a man takes a drink, then the drink takes a drink, then the drink takes the man. --Chinese proverb
